Feeling INCREDIBLY thankful for the people God put in my world 🌍🙌🏾✨

I originally planned to take off work for the @womanevolve conference. The dream in my heart was to bless my mama with a ticket hotel and full experience. Unfortunately a few days ago I was assigned to an emergency work trip and wasn’t gonna be able to go. Hella disappointed, I had to make all arrangements; it’s a huge event with 40k+ people and lots of details etc.

In steps @ashley_jaleesa who has taken care of her just like she would her own. And I’m so very thankful. Get you some friends who would move as you would, who love like you do, who have a heart like you do.

Though I’m hundreds of miles away, I’m at peace and my heart is full. This is the real #blessed. by @misskris1717

🎉✨🎂 HAPPY NEW YEAR to me! At 4:51 I woke up feeling really thankful. Thankful to be alive! Thankful for health and to be walking in the full manifestation of God’s healing (more on all that later).

My prayer for this next year is that I stay the course. That God continues to align me with the people, places and things he designed specifically for me. That I walk in his divine favor. And that I continue to live with passion and purpose! Cheers to a new revolution around the sun 💛✨ by @misskris1717

Happy New Year! Cheers to a new year, same me just a little better.
My word for the year is HONOR. And it is my goal to honor myself in everything, to be a woman of integrity, and to do only things for which I can give an enthusiastic HECK YES to! Cheers to another chapter of the best book ever 🥂✨ by @misskris1717

Here’s to the house ⛪️

The house that welcomed me when I was a hot mess. The house that still welcomes me as a slightly less hotter mess. To the house that gave me some of my very best friends. To the people that have been community and seen me through different seasons, especially the ones where I wanted to pull away and quit people and God. To the house that prayed for me when it felt like I was losing my hope and my faith. To the small groups that have stretched me. To the people who challenged if I’d stand on the values I claimed. To the people who have helped me become a better leader both in church and in the world. To the pastors who I look up to and model myself after, thank you for your vision and for your YES. But mostly thank you to God for planting a church 20 feet from the exact place I gave excuses for why I couldn’t attend.

Cheers to the close of one chapter and on to the next. New house. Same God. Same values. Same mission to make it on earth as it is in Heaven 🤍⛪️🙏🏾

Wishing a happy 30th to one of the dopest girls in Dallas. My hope is that this next decade brings you more than what you could ever imagine. You are such a star and you’re shooting straight to the moon! We love you 💛✨ by @misskris1717

Life lately…
Maximizing my singleness has been my mantra lately. Pivoting from focusing on what I don’t have and focusing on all that I do. I’ve been blessed to live and have such a full life. Im determined to enjoy it every step of the way and get every last drop out of it.
Early fall has been full of time w my sissy and friends, a fashion show, a women’s conference, some solo travel, a concert, serving w my parents, dinners w frands, a wedding and everything in between. So so thankful 🙌🏾.
Ready to see what this back half is gonna bring…

A peek back at #womanevolve23. I booked a trip to Costa Rica right after so I knew I’d have plenty of time to think about what we experienced in that arena.
Pastor @sarahjakesroberts thank you for your YES and for not being afraid. Because of that YES, me and 40,000 of my homegirls 😜 were able to experience the presence of God in a new way

In the weeks leading up to conference I felt dry. Not just bc I hadn’t been drinking my water but bc I felt like I was talking to God but not hearing back. I have the gift of faith, but seems like I only have it for other people. I lost it for myself. I felt like I was in a proverbial desert so I was pulling up to conference on E.

I really didn’t even need all 3 days. I got what I came for the very first night. All the rest was icing on the cake. To hear @nona speak about learning to dance in the desert and how to thrive in desert places was JUST what i needed. Not planning a funeral where God planned a festival, not allowing my frustrations to become my distractions and not allowing a bad desert to make a worse Egypt look better. Within the first 2 hours, I got what my heart had been searching for.

It will FOREVER amaze me how God works. For 40,000+ women to hear the same word, but receive it all differently and have it be SO precise and SO in tune with what we all need to hear in our individual lives is nothing short of incredible.

There were SO many power packed messages, power packed panels, the presence of God was palpable and I know hearts and minds were changed. Some people came to God and others of us got the watering that we needed.

More than that I’m thankful for friends I can do this with. Yes we have a blast, yes we have adventures here and abroad, yes we celebrate wins and navigate losses, but to have girls that you can ugly cry with. Ones who can hear the deepest desires of your heart, your deepest fears and hold space for you, who pray for you when you literally can’t even pray for yourself anymore, THAT is #sisterhood THAT is #community THAT is #love and THAT is #church I’m forever grateful for my tribe (some pictured here).

Still reeling from a little Eat Pray Love adventure in Costa Rica. The trip was beautiful and just what I needed to both relax and prepare for the craziness that is retail during the holiday season.

This was one of my favorite nights! After a day of hiking and zip lining and white water rafting, I could order in or get dressed and head back out into the streets. Y’all know what I chose lol. Let’s have some commotion for the bag!

Dining in the dark is an experience that was SO much fun and I’ll never forget. If they offer it in your city, you’ve got to try it. When you can’t see, all of your other senses are heightened. 10/10 recommend. by @misskris1717
