We had such a spooktacular time participating in the Driscoll Halloween Parade. Patients had the opportunity to experience a trick-or-treat setting by walking down the hospital hallways and witnessing all of the different Halloween themed decor. Thank you @driscollchildrenshospital for having us! 🎃 by @misstexaspetite

New play book, new journal, new sponsor, new era. Miss Texas Petite, i’m already coming for you 📦👑

Yesterday we celebrated Super Halloween with @superramiandfriends 🎃 We hosted children and families affected by childhood cancer to a fun filled event! From the face painting, to the trick-or-treating, to the costumes and the fun games, this event truly had it all! The best part was seeing the joy, love and hope that this event brought to so many! 💛

Congratulations @superramiandfriends for celebrating 12 years of SuperRami and for the impact that you’ve made in the lives of many! 🦸🏽‍♀️ by @misstexaspetite

Pamper Day meets Halloween! 👻🎃 Today at Haven for Hope we turned the salon into a Halloween wonderland, fun music, trick-or-treating while getting pampered, haircuts, styles, and hair tinsel for days. Watching everyone leave feeling confident and ready for Halloween weekend is everything. Every haircut is a reminder that you’re worthy of feeling beautiful. 🫶✨

And just like that, it's been two weeks since our 2027 Miss Texas Petite Pageant. I'd be lying if I said it was easy! I want to thank @liza_b_garza @texasglamsquad @cassidykleinmua @taylorofftherecord @legnarekim @petite.jenna. Without these amazing people we probably wouldn't be where we are today. We're now on to our 8th yr.! We've built a great pageant with quality, fairness, and consistency. We will always strive for better every year and make changes where we feel is needed. I'm proud of how far we've come and I appreciate those who've supported and helped along the way including our my family, sponsors, previous petite royalty, judges, and many more. Here's to another exciting year! 🎉🎉🎉

A little change of perspective!

A few weekends ago, I had the honor of helping judge the Texas Petite Pageant, and it was such a fun experience being on the other side of the table! 👑

Every single lady was wonderful, and choosing was HARD! One thing pageants have taught me is just how subjective they can be. Judges get a short window of time to meet you, hear your story, and see what you bring to the stage. There are so many amazing women, and sometimes it truly comes down to personal perspective.

I have so much respect for every woman who steps on that stage, puts herself out there, and has the courage to be seen. 👏🏼✨

I can’t wait to see these ladies shine at Nationals! 🇺🇸👑 by @misstexaspetite

During my interview for Ms. Texas Petite, the very first question I was asked was, “What would your first appearance as Ms. Texas Petite be?”

I was so excited to share about a team that I’ve had the privilege of being part of for over two years!

As a PlaneSAFE Champion on the Health, Safety, Security, and Wellness team, I get to connect with fellow flight attendants about staying safe on the aircraft while also encouraging them to prioritize their health and wellness outside of work.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on SoberTober!

As flight attendants, we’re specially trained to take care of others, but it’s just as important that we take care of ourselves. Between unpredictable schedules, spending time away from loved ones, and the unique stresses of working in the skies, prioritizing our mental and physical well-being is essential.

SoberTober encourages us to reflect on our relationship with alcohol, explore healthier ways to manage stress, and recognize that choosing sobriety, whether for a month or a lifetime, is something worth celebrating!

And remember, you don’t have to navigate challenges with alcohol alone. If you or someone you know needs support, SAMHSA’s National Helpline offers free, confidential treatment referrals and information 24/7.

1-800-662-HELP (4357)

I’m grateful that my first appearance as Ms. Texas Petite gave me the opportunity to shine a light on a cause and a community that mean so much to me 💚

As someone who was a victim of bullying, I wear orange for Unity Day on this National Bullying Prevention Month🧡

“Unity Day, started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in October 2011, is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a day when we can come together to send a visible message of building community through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The call to action is simple: wear and share the color orange. This vibrant statement becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention.” - pacer.org

Did you know that, according to pacer.org, as of 2024:
“* One out of every five (19.2%) students report being bullied.
* A higher portion of female than of male students report being bullied at school (21.8% vs. 16.7%)
* 26.1% of middle school students (grades 6-8) experienced bullying compared to 14.6% of high school students (grades 9-12).
* Students report being bullied most frequently for their appearance (32.7%), followed by race (13%), disability (9.7%), ethnic origin (9.4%), gender (9.2%), sexual orientation (8.9%), and religion (5.8%).”

What can we do?
1) Be kind and respectful
2) Speak up if you see someone being bullied
3) Report bullying to a trusted adult
4) Teach empathy and kindness
5) Create a safe environment for everyone by @misstexaspetite

My kind of runway, and this is only the beginning. 👑✨
