It’s looking like my episode where I play Rod McCall in reenactments of Mr. McCall’s escalating custody battles (alongside @whitney.cf ) is coming up really soon (s2e7). Interesting opportunity as an actor, and I hope we serve his story well. Available on HBO Max, Discovery+ and ID Go. by @mistergholson
The Hip Pocket opens up season four with our friend; actor, cartoonist, and Austin sketch comedy veteran John Gholson. John joined us to talk about his most recent feature, indie horror hit MAN FINDS TAPE (now streaming on Tubi and Prime!), but you might also recognize him from festival darling MAKE POPULAR MOVIES or Bad Thoughts on Netflix. John brought us BRAINDEAD, IF LUCY FELL, and AMERICAN MOVIE, and we replied with HARD CORE LOGO, adding CQ into the Hall of Fame. Check it out wherever you listen to podcasts! 📼🎧 by @mistergholson
I spent a couple of hours working on a Welsh accent and tried my best to keep it going all night in character for the first murder mystery party I’ve ever attended. 📸: @brandenlaredo by @mistergholson
Trash in the Can: The Garbage Pail Kids Movie This week, we dive headfirst into a movie that’s so perfectly suited to our show we can’t believe it took us this long. Podcaster, artist, and actor John Gholson joins us to marvel at nightmare-fuel puppets, an alarming age gap romance, and state of the art piss special effects. It's gross, it's baffling, and it's almost impossible to believe this movie actually exists. We watched 1987’s The Garbage Pail Kids Movie! https://oneofus.net/2026/07/trash-in-the-can-the-garbage-pail-kids-movie/ #TheGarbagePailKidsMovie #TrashInTheCan #JohnGholson #MovieReview #Podcast #OneOfUs by @mistergholson

Almost got all my shots. I’m a big fan of @brendamariephillips and was glad I drew her name in the @playhouseatx #fafoff. Writing something for her came quick and easy, and it was a joy to see her and the rest of the cast make it alive. Tickets to the F Around & Find Out Film Fest on my profile. by @mistergholson
