Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day 🤍🦋

Almost 22 years ago, my world stopped. I was 24 weeks pregnant with our third baby. This was a very active baby and after not feeling flutters or kicks for a couple of days my intuition, that only a mom can know, was telling me something was wrong. I went to the doctor to get reassurance that everything was fine only to have my world shattered by four words that forever changed me:

“There is no heartbeat.”

There is no way to explain the heartache of losing a child you already love with every part of your being. A child you've dreamed about, prayed for, imagined holding, and pictured growing up.

Our sweet angel, Kassidy Kate, is forever loved, forever missed and forever a part of our family. Though she was stillborn, she was still born and we will forever keep her memory alive.

Today my heart is with every mama who knows this kind of pain:

🩷The mama who just heard those devastating words…
🩵The mama who had to say goodbye before she ever got to say hello…
🩷The mama who left the hospital with empty arms and a broken heart…
🩵The mama who smiles on the outside while carrying an ache no one else can see…
🩷The mama who has never held her baby in her arms but has carried a lifetime of love for them in her heart…
🩵The mama who is still learning how to live in a world that doesn't look the way she thought it would…

The world keeps moving. The days turn into years. You learn to smile again, laugh again, and carry on with life. But a part of you is forever changed. There are milestones you never get to celebrate, memories you never get to make, and a lifetime of love that has nowhere to go but into the deepest parts of your heart.

You don't have to be strong every day. Grief has no timeline, and love has no expiration date.

What a gorgeous autumn day! Addy and I (and Ivy!) took a Sunday drive to the apple orchard and soaked in this beautiful fall day!🍂☀️🍁🍎 by @mkamom23

No more teenagers!! Our baby turned 20 today!! Addy you are so smart, beautiful, funny, strong and so very loved! You make our family complete. I love you more than words😘💕 by @mkamom23

I don't know 🅷🅾🆆 we reached the middle of August already, but here we are! ☀️😳

My summer completely got away from me... but nothing brings you back to reality quite like seeing ⒷⒶⒸⓀ ⓉⓄ ⓈⒸⒽⓄⓄⓁ signs everywhere. 😂📚✏️

Insert the timing of 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱𝗮'𝘀 𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 🌿🎉 and honestly, this couldn't have paired more perfectly!

In celebration of 𝟮𝟯 years:

🌿 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥 $𝟣𝟤𝟥
🌿 𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝟤𝟥% 𝘖𝘍𝘍 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳
🌿 𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘢 𝘍𝘙𝘌𝘌 𝘐𝟢𝟣 𝘖𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘧 𝘌𝘭𝘪𝘹𝘪𝘳 — 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭!

This little powerhouse is packed with highly concentrated 𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐫 + 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐮, with even more 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐲𝐭𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐥 + 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐂 than their other elixirs.

I don't know about you, but heading into back-to-school season, I couldn't think of a better time to 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙜𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢 + 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙤𝙭𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨. 🙌

🌊🛶☀️🇺🇸 Wow, what a week!!! Bring on the sun, heat and salty air and I'm in my happy place!

This time was a little different though. We decided we don't want our happy place to only be a place we visit once a year, we want to make it our home. So we did just that!! 🥹🏡🌴

We found a little piece of paradise among the palm trees and salty breeze with plans to build our forever home.

Even though Jerrod and I have talked about this for years, the decision to actually go through with it has come with just about every emotion possible. It'll be bittersweet to leave the only state we've ever called home, but we're so excited for what’s ahead!

Midlife is filled with unexpected changes. I certainly didn't see this coming (at least so soon). But if we didn't take risks, we'd always wonder what could have been. 🤷‍♀️

So here we go...a little scared, a lot excited and extremely blessed that after all this time we're still working towards the same dream together!💞 by @mkamom23

🥂💍Cheers to 28 years of wedded bliss and 35 years of doing life with you! Through laughter, tears, love and loss you have been my safe place to land. I'm excited to see where our journey takes us next!💘 by @mkamom23

The weekend was busy and maybe a good distraction from another Father's Day without my dad. But also an acknowledgement that I don't need a single day to recognize that my dad is still very present with me in thoughts, mannerisms, laughter. He's where I find strength, where I can still hear his words of wisdom. He's with me when I think back to my childhood and remember all the lessons he taught us and when look at my own kids and I know what a proud grandpa he was.

He loved me and my brothers - even though I really was his favorite ... and he was smitten with all 14 of his grandchildren - and the ones that were already waiting for him in heaven.

Dad, I miss you, love you and honor your memory every day. Thank you for continuing to show up in little winks in my everyday life.

This weekend took me back to my 20s AND the 70s!! I was honored (for my age😂) and blessed to celebrate Rachel on her last weekend before she becomes a Mrs!!💍 It was an amazing time with a beautiful group of girls, soooo many laughs and a great itinerary with a few unexpected add-ons🙊 Your soul radiates a beauty that captures everyone around you. I can't wait to see that beauty in Rachel - The Bride!! by @mkamom23

I don't know what I love more... Monday nights, my new hobby or all the laughs with these ladies!! We're still working on our serves and remembering the rules, but having so much fun while learning!🎾💚 by @mkamom23

School's Out for Summer!!☀️🎉

I'm currently stuck somewhere between trying to repair my nervous system after the school year and feeling slightly overwhelmed by everything I want to do this summer. 😅

Here's my week one reset:

🫁 Breathe
🌺 Smell the flowers
😴 Be a little lazy
🦋 Enjoy nature
🎶 Listen to live music
🥰 Laugh with friends
🧘‍♀️ Yoga
🎾 Try something new — pickleball!

Finding balance isn't always easy. Sometimes I have to remind myself that taking care of myself isn't selfish... it's necessary.

One thing I love about summer is letting go of rigid schedules and routines. But there are a few habits that help me feel grounded no matter what season I'm in, and my skincare routine is one of them.

It's simple, consistent, and takes the guesswork out of caring for myself. I know I'm using products I trust, and that little bit of self-care helps me feel like me — even when life gets busy.

I'm looking forward to slowing down, making memories, and soaking up all the exciting things this summer has in store. ☀️🎶🍦🏖🩴

Midlife skin got you frustrated?🙋‍♀️

How would you like:

➡️ firmer skin without the needles?

➡️ smoother looking complexion from internal collagen support?

➡️ deeper hydration and regeneration from a face cream that doesn't differentiate between skin types?

💫 Better yet... what if you could choose one of these for 🆓️?

DM me "I WANT IT FREE" and I'll tell you how! 🤍

📚 School is almost out!
☀️ Summer is almost here!
🗓 The calendar is already filling up!

I've already been to a wedding, a grad party and a confirmation. Somehow we manage to squeeze it all in and keep going.

That's why I can appreciate simplicity in the other aspects of my life that I have more control over.

When life gets busy, I want skincare that is simple, concentrated, and easy to trust.

Waterless takes the guesswork out🙌
•More concentrated ingredients
•Less overwhelm
•More glow

🖼 Summer should be about making memories... not managing one more thing.

Oliveda is simple skincare for life's busiest seasons🤍🌿

What's on your plate this summer?🍽
