This is Sydney’s biggest brisket sandwich Today I am in Surry Hills, Sydney for a supersized lunch. @mlk.deli is a 100% Halal Deli serving up gourmet sandwiches, pastries, cookies and coffee. MLK stands for Myra’s little Kitchen and the owner Myra customised her best selling sandwich “The Risky Brisket” just for me. This monster sandwich was created on a 60 by 20 cm bun with 6hr smoked and slow cooked brisket, pastrami, sauerkraut, swizz cheese topped with MLK house special sauce and served with sides of salt vinegar chips and pickles. We didn’t get to weigh this J Webby sized Risky Brisket but this was definitely going to be a challenge in both capacity and jaw strength. The aim was to finish within 30mins and even a legendary bystander bet me $100 it couldn’t be done. So I gave this @mlk.deli creation the J Webby Business. Special mention to the sides of salt & Vinegar chips and pickles which helped with flavour fatigue but also have to mention how delicious the brisket was. This brisket tasted it was straight out of an American smokehouse, not a cute little deli in Sydney CBD. In the end I managed to conquer this massive J Webby Sized Risky Brisket in 28mins 24 secs. Until we eat again #sydneyfood #sydneyfoodie #foodchallenge #brisketchallenge #mlkdeli by @mlk.deli

If you’ve ever walked into the gym at 6 a.m., you’ve felt it — Myra energy. She’s the heartbeat of our mornings: showing up, lifting others, and setting the tone with big laughs, high standards, and higher vibes. More than a dedicated athlete, Myra’s a community builder — cheering teammates through their last set or welcoming new faces with warmth and support. Outside the gym, she runs Myra’s Little Kitchen (MLK) — the local deli that fuels us with love (and unreal sandwiches). @mlk.deli She leads with joy, grit, and generosity. Simply put, Myra’s a boss and a cornerstone of the Foundation family. by @mlk.deli

Sangas and made to order pides are now in Wynyard! Congrats to @mlk.deli on their newest location and one with a pizza oven where they've been experimenting 👀. I went in unannounced as I saw on their story that pides were being made and not only are they massive but also freaking amazing! The dough is soft and light with a thin crisp crust. A lot of the pides I've had in kebab shops are quite bread heavy, this is much lighter but still loaded with cheese. Got a sample of their brisket pide and ohhhh myyyy gawwdddd... they definitely NEED to put that on the menu! Maybe with a dipping sauce it could take it to another level 👀. Haven't officially opened with a full menu for the pide yet, but their sandwiches and baked sweet treats are! Definitely check them out 🙌. Follow for more!
