I AM SO UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY OBSESSED WITH THESE SHOTS. OMFG. Sam utterly cooked creating these and I’m literally just sat here like 🤩

One of the things I was very intentional about when constructing Qifrey was using simple base materials like flannel and muslin, and adding onto them with stones, trim, appliqués, ornate lining, etc. to highlight the core message I take from this series. Witches are ordinary people who use additional tools to create the extraordinary. I wanted to bake that into the ensemble, and feel immensely proud of how everything came together. 🖤

I’m honestly loving all the growth and development we’re getting this season. I was definitely getting too comfortable at the end of last season thinking our boys were beyond communication issues and growth, but I’m so glad to see we’re continuing their development. 😭 Fingers crossed everything shakes out in the end!

😈🦉

IS ANYONE ELSE ABSOLUTELY STOKED FOR THE NEW SEASON!? IS ANYONE ELSE WRECKED AFTER WATCHING THE FIRST 3 EPISODES!? (STOLITZ MY BELOVED! 😭)

I’m so excited to be able to share these shots from AB this year right as our tragic boys are back at it again! ☺️🖤 Duck is absolutely fantastic to work with and I’m obsessed with everything she’s created. Mal is such a joy to duo cosplay with and tolerates all my shenanigans, especially when my check engine light flashes on in cosplay. (Which unfortunately is more frequent these days. 🤣)

Story time. As we were shooting these photos in lower light, a group of teenagers wandered through the fort stumbled by and asked if I was a real person. I affirmed I was indeed, real. I remain unsure if he thought I was a mannequin or a ghost, but it made the shoot much more entertaining. 🖤

Happy 40th anniversary to the ALW Phantom of the Opera musical. 🖤

Back in 2019, I did a shoot at this location for my Phantom cosplay. For YEARS I’ve yearned to go back as Christine, but was so tremendously afraid to. Christine as a character has meant so much to me over the years, as has Phantom as a whole. I wanted to be sure the vision in my mind translated to the image. This shoot felt special, and I’m so unbelievably grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. Vince, truly, thank you for braving the rough weather and cold corridors of this fort. Thank you for agreeing to drive a stupid distance into Maine, something that deterred so many others I’d spoken to about this endeavor. Duke, thank you for agreeing last minute to hop in the car and come support all the grip work to help this go smoothly. And thank you so much to everyone over the years who has been a part, big or small, of this becoming real. I hope folks enjoy this series as much as I do. Truly, I was moved to tears when I saw these photos for the first time. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more beautiful in my life.
