My Otie Shmotey, You’re the first dog I’ve had to lose since very young and being in the room. Seeing you happy start to relax and close your eyes I saw sorrow. You finally knew it was the end. But I’d never not be there. A pet needs love when they’re leaving. But until that point, you have always been such an energetic happy boy. When I couldn’t sleep at night or had anxiety, I’d take you on walks. You were the best dog a girl could ask for. The best comforter, even when you were anxious too. You were the best cuddler but twitched like crazy when you slept. I’d carry you down the stairs 100x a day for the rest of my life if you could stay. I’ll miss when you were able and would come down the stairs every day to greet me. Your favorite toy was a tennis ball and that is my favorite sport, so i gave you my tennis ball 🎾 every time i see a dog, a tennis ball, cheese, a blanket - it reminds me of you. I was going to move to take you. But I know you had a long 13+ years and helped me through the hard times growing up. There’s no love and comfort like a dog. I may not have that for a long time. Otis I love and miss you so much. My heart is broken. Rest in peace buddy. Enjoy the beautiful farm you’re buried at❤️ by @mmaggiehartt
To my Crusty Dusty, My punkin bunkin, My bubbie, My best friend: There will forever be a hole in my heart now that you’re gone. I always told you you need to make it to 20 but there is no amount of time that would’ve been enough. You gave me 19 good years. I’ll never forget my moms co worker finding you in her back yard and asking if we wanted him. All of us begged and we’re so excited when you came to us is the summer of 2004. You almost were a Hamilton or a Buster, but we decided on Dusty. You were the sweetest cat I’ve ever known, with a pur louder than a motorboat. You were there through the hard times in my life, my hard upbringing, my depression, anxiety, when I didn’t want to be here, you kept me going. I’ll stay strong for you buddy. I’m going to miss you more than anything. I’ll miss your drool from excitement and you sleeping by my head every night. I’ll miss watching you drink the Christmas tree water and I’ll miss how much you loved bananas and cheese. I love and miss you so much my Crusty boy. You were my soulmate. Your best friend, Maggie by @mmaggiehartt
