. . Prob out of the season, but I couldn’t be more psyched to drive down to this stand-alone boulder literally right on the beach!!! It was a good mental challenge for me to go through, fighting against the fear and believing myself🙏 . I’m usually fearful of committing to something unsure, so today it took me a while to start committing to a move to a crimp. I was uncomfortable with the cross move, foot positioning, height, landing, possible risk of injury. It was a consistent fight in myself of “you can do it” and “it’s too risky on your own” . I looked at several videos and decided to just go for it for once. Then I slipped hard😂 but that made me go “well slipping didn’t hurt me, so it would probably be ok.” Over the dozens of attempts, I stuck the move and then got too nervous that I overgripped holds and got too scared again. Then again, it went back to the move to a crimp, since the fear started to take over my headspace. I gave it some attempts and decided to stop recording once to watch my own tries for some rest and studying. After that, I was standing on the top of the boulder on my next attempt. I was shaky, and HAPPY!!!!!🥹❣️ . So much gratitude for all I went through today. I love climbing🙏 by @mn1516
Literally 100 TRIES later🤯😍⚡️✨🤩🌟❣️🥳🔥❤️✨🥰 . . . Super duper ×100 psyched to send this today!!!!!!!!!!🤯🔥🔥🔥 That freaking 2nd move has made me learn a lot both physically and mentally, and I’m very proud of myself not giving up🙏🔥 Enjoy watching this edited video of my progress until the send on this boulder, my falls might be the actual highlights😂❤️!! . . @obe_obebe I’ll look forward to more challenges from ya!!!!!! . #climblikeagirl #shortpersonbeta #noheelhooknosend #heelhookappreciation #trainhardclimbharder #noplacetoofar #furiaair @suuuuupastrong by @mn1516
Very psyched have sent this line today at #mizugaki 🙏🌱🌿 This boulder is just so simple and has only this one line that goes straight up the boulder🙆‍♀️ . Something about this boulder attracted me when I saw a photo in the guidebook and I just immediately went to give a go the last time I was here☺️ Didn’t quite figure out anything off the start then, and I watched someone’s video, and yeah I was hoping to take this down in a few sessions but not really did I expect myself feeling it possible so soon or even sending it after about a dozen of tries!😊😊❤️❤️❤️ I put almost all of my attempts together and am posting it on IGTV, skip it to the last 50 seconds if you wish to just watch my send go! *excuse me for me cursing as I top out😂 . . #climblikeagirl #shortpersonbeta #outdoorclimbing @suuuuupastrong by @mn1516

With only 3.3 weeks to go until Bloc Party we thought we’d whet your appetite with a little info on the routesetters. 🇮🇹 🇧🇪 🇯🇵 🇬🇧 Jack has become a regular feature at Bloc Party and rightly so. When asked for a little bio the Italian legend said: Jack Busato 36 yo 👨‍🦳. Collage artist. Grips collector. Routesetting addict. We can’t wait to have you back @jack_busato Photo credits: marisa.lee_ Joe is now a regular on the City Bloc setting team and will be known to most of you. We asked Joe for a little info on his setting journey, here’s what he said: Hi I’m Joe, I competed with GB from youth through to senior level, stopping at 20 after a final season that included two senior European Cup bouldering finals and a World Cup season. I loved the intensity of competing, the pressure of the clock and how completely it could draw you into a movement. But competition was always a useful vessel for something else; the game of figuring things out, testing yourself and finding new ways to move. For me, a big part of climbing is the playfulness of that process. I recently finished a philosophy degree and started setting full-time four months ago. I’m interested in how movement makes us feel, and how much can be expressed through the way someone approaches a problem. Having recently set at Team Boulder Arena in London, I’ve enjoyed exploring competition from behind the driver, using my experience as a comp athlete. Thirteen years of competing has given me perspective on how comp setting has evolved alongside the increasing level of the athletes and the appetite for spectacle. CityBloc has felt like home for a long time, and I think its development reflects that breadth particularly well. We balance setting grounded in the movement and sensibilities of climbing outside, alongside an excellent comp room where we setters have the space to experiment with what climbing might become. The two approaches can inform one another without having to arrive at the same place. I’m looking forward to bringing such breadth of style to Bloc Party for the Leeds community, with something for everyone, whatever their level. Can’t wait to see you all there! @joe.xiberras Mei by @mn1516
ARCTERYX ACADEMY Yangshuo 2026 . . Assisted @sachiamma ‘s clinic and set some boulders for the comp at the venue🍂 I regret not staying longer at such a beautiful place🥹 Grateful for this opportunity and happy to have met new friends from across the world!! . @arcteryx_jp @arcteryxacademy . #climblikeagirl#yangshuo by @mn1516

@climbingdistrictlondon Tottenham Hale new set beta sprays for shorties😚✨ With @imiclimbing captured in the video💃 . . . I think my standard body position and @unit_holds work pretty well together, the first blue with mint tag can be tricky if taller💫 I don’t set routes to purposely make them harder for any specific body type but some can feel harder if shorter or taller like any other routes set by anyone, but maybe there’s more of mine for anti-tall betas😎 .
Ape Drape at Froggatt🍂💫✨ Might have been my first time actually succeeding in seal mantle🦭🦭🦭 . . @arcteryx_jp 💃 . The Eyes Direct👀 Good reminder for grades being subjective! This slab was so nice that I almost free-soloed to the top(Not really, I would’ve been so scared the mid way)🌟 Would always stop anytime for some pets🐶 by @mn1516
@climbingdistrictlondon Tottenham Hale🛠️🌟 I will post my set in a few days!! . . . 3 days of infilling blocs alongside comp boulders after @teamboulderarena are over and I had loads of fun with the team!! And I think we nailed the aesthetics and the quality of boulders💅 . Thank you for the invite and I hope to be back there again in the next 2 years of my life in UK💃🕺🇬🇧 . . .
