POSTS STORIES REELS

I started physical therapy school 3 years ago to date. Up until the weekend before I had nowhere to live. I knew I needed an apartment in NYC to lessen my commute but everything fell through. It wasn’t until the day before school started that God opened a door and I was able to move in June 4th, the night before classes started. I moved in with 2 months worth of rent (in the hood 😂) and no idea how I was going to be on my own for the first time in my life.

Then, the journey began: weekly quizzes, exams, practicals, sleepless nights, failures, set backs, victories, improvements. All things I expected and planned for. What I couldn’t plan for were the family losses, moving to 3 different locations, financial struggles, heartbreak, betrayal..in short, the odds were stacked against me. I should’ve lost my mind BUT GOD! I learned about myself, matured, picked up a couple of side hustles, and maintained a healthy support system. My family, friends, mentors and a few close classmates helped me get through.

A common theme throughout my journey was solutions and breakthroughs coming at the eleventh hour and/or after several attempts of perseverance. The journey has developed me more into a man, servant, and clinician. I don’t have it all figured out yet but I know I’m on the right path and trust God will see me through.

When you see the way me and my family celebrate this accomplishment it’s because you have no idea how good it feels to have a win of this magnitude after experiencing so many losses. This is a win for not only myself but the tight knit village that raised and nurtured me.

I encourage you, whatever “this” looks like for you—you can have it! For me it was a DPT degree. For you it can be a business, masters, family, career change, new house. Put your head down, grind it out—you can and WILL do it.

Doctor Out ✌🏽

This was posted a few hours ago, but as a reel and not as a post, so the vid got cut off about halfway through. I’m not as young as I used to be, I’m still figuring this social media thing out. Nonetheless, here is the full video. Hope you all enjoy!

Special thank you to @restore_ministries_inc for the opportunity to speak and empower the youth. Ages ranged from 7 to 17. We shared many laughs, stories, and experiences. Everyone left knowing that they can conquer the impossible and accomplish what they have been created to do from the beginning of time. #restore #publicspeaking #imworthit by @mo_money_jake

Also can’t forget to shoutout my @preptgrind family, and a special shoutout to @dr.robynringberg, @casey.pt @ariellee_elizabeth and @krocaa for helping me along the way. I was never qualified to do this, I attribute all my success to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
