POSTS STORIES REELS

Well, hello there! 👋 With a few new followers around these parts, I thought I'd take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I'm Molly and I'm a former professional organizer turned professional copywriter. I LOVE using words to help connect people because I think genuine connection is something we're all looking for in life.

That benefits your business because true connection also helps you land the clients you love AND increase sales. (Win + Win = Win)

I live in Bend, Oregon with my husband Scott, two kids (ages 9 + 11), and our little dog Lucy!

Two summers ago, we rented our our family home and traveled through Italy and beyond for 86 days with only the things we could carry on our backs. (See the pictures!)

We enjoy doing all the outdoor things (you kind of have to if you live in Bend) but one of my favorite things is curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.

I'd love to know where you’re from and what you do — tell me in the comments! ⬇️

When I was in the 8th grade, I remember taking a humanities class with my incredible teacher, Ms. Nellor.

I don’t remember the book we’d been reading, but we started a discussion about guns and war.

I remember speaking up and saying something like, “Imagine if we lived in a world where guns were never invented. That would solve so many problems.” As an eighth-grade band nerd, I was NOT one who spoke up very often. So this was a big move on my part.

Another student — a cute and hilarious boy whose name I remember but won’t share here — immediately jumped on my comment and insisted that we NEED guns. If we don’t have guns, then we cannot protect ourselves, he insisted.

I tried to explain myself, tried to make my dreamy idea clear, but again — EIGHTH-GRADE BAND NERD.

So my kind-hearted teacher spoke gently, but directly, and told him, “I think what Molly is trying to say is WHAT IF — what if we’d never invented such weapons? What if we had found other ways to solve problems? Wouldn’t it be a better world?”

He still didn’t really like the idea, but my heart was saved by Ms. Nellor. She helped me share my voice in a moment when I couldn’t, and it clearly left its mark. I think that’s what a great teacher really is — someone who can listen, read cues, and help children grow into the person they’re meant to be.

I’m older now, but I’ll always be a band nerd who struggles to say the right thing at the moment.

But I know this — I’m still a dreamer who wishes guns were never invented. And I understand that I live in a world where they were. So we owe it to our own eighth-grade selves and our own children to do what we can to stop this madness. Let’s talk, let’s discuss, let’s feel, and let’s be the Ms. Nellors of the world who help to peaceably translate such opposing sides to the same core problem.

Because we can all agree this madness is unacceptable.

Look who I found in Scotland! @orkasimplifiedliving

It was so fun getting together with Julia in person! We’ve been connected online for several years now and had the chance to meet up in Edinburgh at the end of my trip.

I always say professional organizers are the best people and she’s another example. We had a fun brunch discussing Edinburgh, Scotland, traveling, and online business strategy. A well rounded conversation! 😁

I hope to be back in the UK someday soon to meet many more @apdo_uk organizers!

…it’s true. They drive me crazy!

It’s a tactile thing. The feel of clothes sticking to the velvet gets under my skin.

I get matching hangers but the thin velvet ones will not. be. in. my. house.

What are you — team velvet or not? 🤣
