We have a lot of new faces here, so I thought I would jump on and introduce ourselves, again! My name is Katie. I am the “mom” in Mom & Me Catering and these are my children; Kaden (21), Carlie (20) and Garrett or G (almost 18). My daughter started as the “me” in Mom & Me, but as the years have gone by, each one of my kids have played the role of “Me” in this company. About 9 years ago, Carlie started experimenting in decorating cakes and cupcakes. It grew pretty quickly and turned into a side gig, so I took her vision and made it a reality. We created Mom & Me Cakery. About 4 years ago, we went through a crazy transition and now, we are Mom & Me Catering! One year ago, Carlie graduated Cosmetology School and works full time doing hair, so she doesn’t help with Mom & Me as much as she used to. 18 months ago she started dating a boy, who is the love of her life and spends as much free time as possible with him. It’s been so fun to watch them together and to see how much she has grown up. She is quite the talented girl and always blows me away with everything she does. Kaden is my full time baker, side gig helper and partner in every event we do and has been for the past 2 years. I love getting to spend time with him and working side by side with him. If you know Kaden, you know he is the BEST KID, EVER!!! We are a family affair and pretty regularly all work together, including my husband, Brock, whom you have all so lovingly nicknamed Betty Brocker and we LOVE IT!! We also have several workers that also work with us and every single one of them is family, in one way or another! It’s pretty incredible. We currently offer full catering, cakes, desserts of all kinds, a full soda bar, hot chocolate bar and hot cider bar too. We really offer it all and love every second of it! My favorite part of our business is working together with my favorite people! Thank you for being here, thank you for supporting us and thank you for all the love! We are so dang grateful for each and every one of you guys! Stay tuned because 2027 is opening new doors for Mom & Me and I cannot wait to show you what we have in store! 😏 by @mom.me.catering

Still not over the fact that I’m officially 30. 🥹✨ Thank you SO much to everyone who came out last week to celebrate with me and made the night so special. Come and make a fresh fruit pie with me. This recipe can be used for peaches, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, a combination of fruit… whatever your heart desires! Here is the recipe. Let me know if you have any questions! Fresh fruit pie!!! 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 c cornstarch 1/4 c cold water 2 T lemon juice (fresh or bottled will work) 1 1/2 cups fresh fruit- sliced 1/4-1/2 tsp vanilla (I do 1/4 tsp almond and 1/4 tsp vanilla for peach pie, ALWAYS!) Blind bake 9” pie crust. After baked, cover bottom of pie shell with sliced fruit (1/2-3/4 cup worth). In small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water. Mix well and set aside. Put remaining fruit in medium saucepan on stove. Turn heat to medium high. Add sugar, lemon juice and flavoring(s). Stir well, until mixture begins to simmer. Mash fruit to desired consistency. Pour in cornstarch mixture and stir well. Turn heat down to low and allow to simmer, while stirring constantly. Stir/heat for 3-5 minutes until fruit puree is thick. Remove from heat and pour over fresh fruit. Put pie in fridge for at least 3 hours. Top with favorite whipping cream (I prefer our homemade whipping cream, of course), slice and enjoy!! by @mom.me.catering

Our Homemade Whipping Cream recipe is one I am asked for often. 1 c cold heavy whipping cream 1 c powdered sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla (I like clear) Stand mixer, with whisk. Combine ingredients, mix on lowest setting until sugar is mixed in and then turn on his 3-5 mins or until thick consistency. Watch it to make sure it doesn’t turn into butter or butttermilk! Use right away and ENJOY!!! by @mom.me.catering
Happy 9th Birthday to our beautiful girl! It feels like just yesterday we were holding you in our arms, and now you’re growing into the sweetest, kindest little girl. Love how this cake turned out for our amazing customer’s @utahfamilyfaves, sweet girl! She wanted a Neapolitan @universityofutah cheer cake! The cake layers are vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. Then the filling is our chocolate and strawberry buttercream and it’s covered in a vanilla buttercream, to add the theme/decor! Love how it turned out, so much! If you’re interested in purchasing a cake bundle, to make sure your birthdays are covered, shoot us a DM! It’s the most cost effective way to buy a cake and the only way to order. Cake from us now!!! 12 of our 8” Cakes are only $420, making each 8” cake only $35 each! It’s a steal of a deal!! by @mom.me.catering
NOT CATERING RELATED, but pictures are a big thing for me. I am ALWAYS taking pictures and videos. It drives my kids CrAzY. I tell them one day they’ll be grateful I took so many pics and videos. I HAD to jump on this trend… I actually asked Brock for 5 pics, but I wrote 4 in the first slide. OOPS! 😬 So glad he goes along with my crazy requests! Think about it… What pics do you have of your spouse that are cute, funny, your favorite, etc? What about your kids, your siblings, your friends? It was fun to go through my thousands of pics (I have over 197,000) on my phone and re-live some of these moments. I especially LOVE the video of Brock jumping through the meadow, pretending to be a deer, to “attract the deer for G to kill one.” It didn’t work, by the way! The game speak out is a fun one and still makes me laugh so hard. I’m so grateful for pictures and the memories they capture. Every time I look at a picture, it takes me back to that moment and I love it. Even pics and videos from when I was a little girl. What’s your favorite memory captured by a photo or in a video? by @mom.me.catering
