The art of layering. 🤎 Consider this your guide to getting dressed when the weather can't make up its mind. The best layered outfits have one thing in common: they look effortless, but every piece has a purpose. From oversized knits to tailored coats and scarves that pull everything together, mastering the art of layering is all about balancing texture, proportion, and color. A few styling tips to try this season: ✦ Start light, finish heavy. Begin with a fitted tee, button-down, or lightweight knit, then build with a cardigan, blazer, or coat. This keeps your outfit comfortable without adding unnecessary bulk. ✦ Play with proportions. Balance an oversized sweater with straight-leg trousers, or pair a structured coat with a slimmer base layer. The contrast is what makes the outfit feel polished. ✦ Mix your textures. Wool, cashmere, cotton, suede, and leather bring depth to even the simplest outfit. A chunky knit over a crisp white shirt is a combination that rarely disappoints. ✦ Keep your colors connected. Try tonal dressing with cream, camel, chocolate, and grey, or add one unexpected pop of color. Olive green, burgundy, and soft pink look especially beautiful against neutrals. ✦ Let one piece do the talking. A colorful scarf, statement coat, or oversized knit can transform an otherwise simple outfit. You don't need every layer competing for attention. ✦ Don't forget the finishing details. A sweater draped over your shoulders, a belt over a cardigan, or a scarf loosely wrapped around your neck can make an outfit feel instantly more intentional. And our favorite styling trick? Before buying anything new, experiment with layering pieces you already own in combinations you haven't tried before. Because great style isn't always about having more clothes. It's about finding new ways to wear what you love. Save this guide for your next chilly morning, and tell us in the comments: are you a scarf-over-everything girl, a blazer lover, or all about the oversized knit? 🤎 Follow @monthlyfavorites for more wearable styling tips, outfit inspiration, and brands worth knowing. #MonthlyFavorites #TheArtOfLayering #FallStyle #LayeringOutfits #StyleTips by @monthlyfavorites
The art of a lived-in home. 🤎 The most beautiful homes aren't always the most perfectly styled. They're the ones that feel collected, comfortable, and unmistakably personal. A home should tell your story, not look like it was decorated in a single afternoon. So how do you achieve that effortlessly layered, lived-in look? ✦ Mix old with new. Pair contemporary furniture with vintage finds, inherited pieces, or something discovered on your travels. The contrast gives a space character. ✦ Layer your textures. Think linen, natural wood, wool, ceramics, and soft, worn-in fabrics. It's often the combination of materials that makes a room feel inviting. ✦ Style with intention. A stack of books you actually read, fresh flowers, a favorite candle, or a meaningful photograph adds more personality than perfectly coordinated accessories. ✦ Play with lighting. Table lamps, sconces, and warm ambient lighting create a softer, more welcoming atmosphere than relying on overhead lights alone. ✦ Leave room for life. Not every corner needs to be styled, and not everything needs to match. A little imperfection is what makes a space feel like home. The secret isn't buying more. It's bringing together things you love and allowing your home to evolve with you. Because a beautiful home should feel just as good to live in as it looks. We'd love to know: What's one thing in your home that makes it feel uniquely yours? A family heirloom, a favorite vintage find, or something with a special story? Tell us in the comments, and tag @monthlyfavorites in your favorite corners of home. The cool girl jewelry stack. ✨ The secret to an effortlessly chic jewelry stack? It's all in the mix. Think delicate chains layered at different lengths, sculptural earrings paired with everyday studs, and rings that feel collected over time rather than perfectly matched. A few styling tips we swear by: ✦ Mix your textures. Pair smooth gold with pearls, diamonds, or something sculptural for a more interesting look. ✦ Play with proportions. A statement earring looks even better alongside a delicate stud or simple chain. ✦ Don't be afraid to mix metals. Gold and silver can absolutely work together. The key is making the combination feel intentional. ✦ Make it personal. Initial necklaces, meaningful charms, and pieces you've collected over the years make a stack uniquely yours. Jewelry brands worth knowing: ✨ @noajewelry.shop ✨ @liliclaspe ✨ @Mizukijewels ✨ @majoricaofficial ✨ @maya_brenner ✨ @idyl ✨ @luvaj From everyday essentials to statement pieces, these are the brands bringing something special to the art of layering. Because the best jewelry stacks aren't about following rules. They're about wearing what you love. Now we want to see yours! 🤍 Are you a minimalist, a maximalist, or somewhere in between? Tell us your favorite jewelry combination or a brand we need to know about in the comments. Tag @monthlyfavorites in your favorite jewelry stacks. The woman you were before everyone needed something from you is still there. Modern motherhood can make it easy to lose pieces of yourself in the mental load of work, children, relationships, schedules, caregiving, and everything that needs to get done. But finding yourself again after motherhood does not mean becoming the woman you were before. It might mean remembering what makes you feel most like yourself now. The clothes you love. The friendships you miss. The hobbies you stopped making time for. The ideas you still want to pursue. The places you want to go. The parts of yourself that have nothing to do with what anyone needs from you. You can love being a mother and still miss parts of yourself. You can be grateful for the life you have and still want more space inside it. You can take care of everyone you love and still make room to care for yourself. You are allowed to be needed and still belong to yourself. Save this for the days you need the reminder, and send it to a woman who might need to hear it too. Follow @monthlyfavorites for thoughtful conversations about modern motherhood, women’s wellness, identity, style, ambition, and the lives women are building now. #ModernMotherhood #MentalLoad #MotherhoodAndIdentity #WomensWellness #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites

What if influence was measured by what you did with it? For this edition of The Good We Notice, we’re highlighting @wegavewhat — the philanthropic arm of @weworewhat, founded by Danielle Bernstein and Alexandra Bushman to turn social reach into collective action. The idea is simple but worth remembering: we all have something to give. A platform. A voice. Time. Resources. An introduction. A purchase that supports a small business. Or simply the ability to bring attention to something that deserves more of it. WeGaveWhat brings together nonprofits, small businesses, brands, creators and individuals to raise awareness, inspire participation and support causes bigger than any one person. And that’s the good we notice: using what you already have to make something better for someone else. Save this as a reminder that impact doesn’t always have to start big — and send it to someone using their platform, business or community for good. Follow @monthlyfavorites for The Good We Notice — people, brands and ideas worth paying attention to. #WeGaveWhat #SocialImpact #WomenSupportingWomen #PurposeDrivenBrands #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites
Strength training becomes more important as we get older — especially for women. As muscle mass and bone density naturally change with age, resistance training can help preserve strength, support bone health, improve balance and keep us moving well for longer. And it doesn’t require hours in the gym. Weights, machines, resistance bands and bodyweight exercises all count. What matters most is building a routine you can actually stay consistent with. The goal isn’t simply to look stronger. It’s to stay strong enough to keep doing the things you love for as long as possible. Save this as your reminder to prioritize strength — and send it to a woman you’d want beside you in the gym. Follow @monthlyfavorites for more conversations around women’s wellness, healthy aging and longevity. #StrengthTrainingForWomen #HealthyAging #ResistanceTraining #WomensWellness #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites
The Prada Touch Cream-to-Powder Blush is having a moment — and it’s not just the packaging. @pradabeauty’s new blush starts as a creamy balm, blends into a blurred soft-matte finish, and is designed for long wear with no setting required. The formula comes in a range of shades, while the limited-edition Wisteria collection introduces purple tones that tap directly into the growing lilac and lavender beauty trend. And the timing feels right: lilac, lavender and purple makeup are emerging as a bigger beauty story, with Prada Beauty leaning into its Wisteria world this fall. Zendaya’s recent Prada Beauty looks have helped put that softer purple palette firmly on our radar, too. The other detail we love? The stackable Prada triangle packaging makes the whole thing feel almost collectible. Cream-to-powder. Buildable. Soft matte. And very hard to ignore. Would you try the classic shades or go straight for Wisteria? Save this for your beauty wishlist and follow @monthlyfavorites for the beauty launches, viral products and trends worth knowing about. #PradaBeauty #PradaBlush #BlushTrends #BeautyTrends2026 #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites
What to wear this week: an easy fall outfit formula built around pieces you’ll actually wear again. A plaid jacket + chocolate brown knit + straight-leg jeans + black loafers = polished, comfortable, and easy enough for everyday. The formula: Plaid jacket brown knit straight-leg denim classic loafers black shoulder bag gold jewelry It’s the kind of fall outfit idea that works because every piece can be worn separately — which is exactly what makes a good capsule wardrobe work. Save this for the next morning you have “nothing to wear,” and send it to the friend who loves an easy outfit formula. Follow @monthlyfavorites for more fall outfit ideas, shopping edits, and everyday style worth saving. #FallOutfitIdeas #WhatToWear #FallStyle #CapsuleWardrobe #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites
The Elie Saab × H&M collaboration is officially here — bringing one of fashion’s most glamorous houses into a much more accessible wardrobe. @eliesaabworld is best known for couture, red-carpet gowns and ultra-feminine eveningwear, but the new @hm collaboration goes beyond the obvious statement dress. Think sculpted tailoring, elevated knitwear, leather, accessories and occasion pieces designed to move between evening dressing and everyday style. That might be the most interesting part of the collection. Instead of treating Elie Saab as something reserved for a gala, the collaboration asks what happens when you pair that sense of glamour with pieces you already own: A statement jacket + denim. A dramatic knit + simple trousers. An evening piece + minimal accessories. A standout bag or shoe + an otherwise understated look. The collection launched October 22 in selected H&M stores and online at hm.com. Our advice? Look beyond the piece everyone is posting and find the one you’ll still want to wear after the collaboration hype is over. Would you shop the dress, the tailoring or the accessories first? Save this for your fall fashion shopping list and send it to the friend who never misses an H&M designer collaboration. Follow @monthlyfavorites for the fashion launches, designer collaborations, shopping finds and trends actually worth knowing about. #ElieSaabxHM #DesignerCollaboration #FallFashion2026 #HM #MonthlyFavorites by @monthlyfavorites
