I recently spent a magical few days on a yoga retreat in Portugal with @mariewilliamsyoga and @sadiemtonks
Beautifully set and perfectly curated.

From my journal I noted…..
‘Aliveness’ - something in me is awake, responsive and connected.
‘Space’ - a fuller breath, movement without agenda.

Beauty and grandness everywhere but I particularly loved the servants quarters….. by @moocha1463

$H A N D S I N C O N V E R S A T I O N As I coil and stitch my hands seem to remember forms from elsewhere - the rounded swelling shapes that emerge when throwing or coiling clay. I hadn’t set out to make an urn, yet somehow an urn like vessel appeared. The desire to add handles at a certain point which I have not done before. The need to immediately make 2 more…. Perhaps it is the memory of a ceramic form, perhaps a sea worn container or simply where the fibre wanted to go? ||||||||||||| |||||||||||\| |||||\||||||| Visit the stunning venue of @ickworthnt to see my work alongside the many talents of @suffolkcraftsociety #handsinconversation #newshapes #woven #raffia by @moocha1463$

Two hands
Two voices
One material
A continual exchange
A form emerging between them

I begin without a pattern and rarely a complete plan. I follow the conversation between my hands and the material. What existed only as a faint intuition gradually becomes something that can be held.
