Howdy MOOV Familia! We hope everyone is doing super dooper well. With the outdoor season coming up soon we wanted to give you a quick update on MOOV. We have decided that we'll be MOOVING our event date to the second weekend of March 2027 because Dec is just too jam packed with other events, as well as Xmas / NYE so we feel that the March date will be better for us (and hopefully you too). So, mark your calendars: 13-14 March 2027 We're going more underground this time round with all information of the event through our emailing list and MOOV WhatsApp group. If you want to be added to the list please feel free to reach out and I'll add you. We'll keep you posted on everything. Big love Ryan and John ❤️ by @moov_festival

As the weeks & months past… my heart still lies here. The people of MOOV What an incredible festival, what an incredible team @john_prefix @ryan_whitley_ct 🤎 I arrived to help shoot some fun content, never knowing it might feel like MOOV’s last dance in this form. While things have been tough in the trance scene, this community isn’t going anywhere , it’s simply choosing a new rhythm, a different approach, another way to move forward. The purest people. An abundance of energy. My heart is with this community, and I hope it continues to stay as full, connected, and alive as it’s always been. 🌟 by @moov_festival
The future of MOOV ❤️ We want to share openly where MOOV is at right now. Over the last four years, we’ve poured an incredible amount of time, energy, and money into building MOOV into what it is today. It’s been a labour of love in every sense. Despite that, we’ve struggled to consistently break even, and over that time we’ve lost around R500k. Continuing in the same way just isn’t sustainable for us. Because of this, we need to pause, reflect, and allow MOOV to evolve. At the moment, we’re exploring different ways forward, including the possibility of MOOVING in a more underground direction and scaling things back. This could mean smaller, more private gatherings — but the heart of MOOV would stay exactly the same. A banging dancefloor with top notch sound, a beautiful stage, and a space for true connection will always be non-negotiable. If this is the path we take, event info would be shared privately via our WhatsApp group rather than publicly online. This isn’t about stepping away — it’s about finding a way to continue sustainably. Our hope is simply to reach a point where MOOV can break even. From there, returning to fully licensed events would absolutely be something we’d love to do again and our end goal has always been to do multi day festivals like they do in Europe. We just need a bit of time to work out what that journey looks like. MOOV Festival has always been a passion project for us — Ryan and John. We care deeply about the trance scene, and it’s hard not to feel how much it has faded in Cape Town over the years. We genuinely feel a responsibility to keep this culture alive, and MOOV has become one of the last places offering a truly psychedelic experience in the Cape. We’re not in this for the money. We never have been. We’re in it for the music, the people, and the moments that happen on that dancefloor — and we simply want to find a way to keep those moments alive without constantly moving backwards. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your continued support. MOOV isn’t going anywhere — we’re just taking a breath and figuring out the next chapter, together. See you in December 2026 🚀 WhatsApp group link in our bio ❤ by @moov_festival

Take note of the last paragraph 🫶 To everyone who came out to MOOV Festival 2025 — thank you. Truly. Showing up, dancing, sharing space, and supporting what we’re trying to build means the world to us ❤️ A massive thank you to the crew who worked so hard before, during, and after the event. There are so many people to acknowledge, but we owe special thanks to Sidney @kriyatief_studio & @princess_caralot for holding down gate crew and crew food all week — we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. Huge thanks to @blitz_nick_ , Keagan, and the entire @fractaldesignrigging team for their professionalism and care, @parabolic_flow for always being there when we needed a hand, Dani and her crew for creating such a rad and welcoming chill space, Kyle @hivemindvisuals for the insane mapping, all the DJs who brought some of the best tunes we’ve heard all weekend, and everyone else who had a hand in making this MOOV what it was. @sleaze_theday and Jarred, you guys were absolute rock stars 🤩 And of course, a huge thank you to all the MOOVers who came to support the brand, the music, and the vision. You are the reason this exists at all. We also want to be honest. We didn’t reach the numbers we needed this year (again), and because of that, the future of MOOV is uncertain. That’s a hard thing to say, but it feels important to be open with the community that has carried us this far. That said, we’re hopeful — hopeful that we can find the right people to invest in the brand and help us keep doing what we love. Whatever comes next, thank you for being part of this chapter. It truly means everything to us. Have an epic festive season 🚀 by @moov_festival
