night hikers & synth seekers! on friday we gather with our heroic environmental steward friends of @treepeople_org to love on live music, hot tea, and a spooky season night hike along a ridge trail of the santa monica mountains. this month we sit atop david lynch’s mulholland drive with our dear friend and local hero, @dreamcrease. the solo project of marina aguerre, dream crease has become a deeply environmental realm of fantasy and collaboration among friends rooted in field recordings and electronic synthesis as an invocation for the worlds to come. for this evening’s friday night moonlight hike we celebrate the release of marina’s 2nd record ‘blue hour in the living room’ with a very special performance featuring many of the musicians who have contributed to this otherworldly collection of music such as ~ @tiesenga @thegrowtheternal @sonodamusic @stevensheadtrip. with vocals, synths, friends, and samples from her own backyard, blue hour in the living room seeks to capture the fleeting stretch of time between day and night known as blue hour: the transient and ethereal hour between sunset and night that intrigues all living beings, the quiet and stillness after the commotion of daytime, before the world of darkness emerges, where two worlds exist in one plane, separate only in time. bring a blanket, a cozy sweater, pour some tea, and bliss in. 🌌🌙 first photo from our friends of @earthling.fyi, all others by @glenjamn & @sam_lee.jpg & @earth__poems from other moments of outdoor musical explorations with dream crease over the years by @morgan_moto_art

Amazing photography by Eri !!! @eritanoshii Pants redesigned and upcycled by @morgan_moto_art Tree of Afterlife I see the curvature of the earth Coming down the mountain An unexpected attack Laughter through the cracks, But those were the last laughs The lightening bolt, The spiders in my shoes, The madness, The zombie, The crossed wires, The election, All said let’s kill tonight. But the lion said The truth comes in a minute, After the storm The dust in the wind buried stuff There’s a new bloom bringing fresh air Sending a spark of energy Just the two of us On the other side of rain by @morgan_moto_art

Photos by @the_doc_nomad Pants upcycled and hand sewn by @morgan_moto_art The Holes in my Face The fingers on my spine Purple, red, blue A moth’s wings wide open Standing my ground In two different shoes One is vigilance, the other valour I happened to be in a phone booth When the avalanche brought down the chandelier The light bulbs broke like fireworks Still I spoke in two voices One like soft rain and golden dust The other like a battling dragon Feeling my body by @morgan_moto_art
