“We need your strength, because together we are stronger.”

This past November, @entre_mundos_org traveled to @aldeia.timbauba along to amplify and support the dream of the Noke Koî a community. This effort is led by the young chief, @pakakamanawa , who carries forward the traditions of his people by inspiring the youth and serving as both a spiritual and political leader.

His message is clear and simple: we need to join our forces together to help shape a more beautiful world. It is up to us, as individuals, to focus our intentions and take practical steps toward being good stewards of the Earth, maintaining right relationship with the land.

This is an invitation to support this community in building a cultural center. How does this support the climate and the world? This center will be a sacred place where ancestral traditions can continue to be practiced, maintaining a deep connection to the lands they protect for generations to come. It will be a place of teaching, study, healing, and the arts, while also offering opportunities for those who feel called to visit and connect with these ways.

We thank you for your prayers and support. If you feel inspired to contribute through a financial donation, please see the link in the bio or comment “SUPPORT.”

We’re excited to announce that we’ve inaugurated our first water tower in the Huni Kuin village of Mibaia this week! This in combination with the building of solar wells offers a wholistic solution. A solution designed by our team to solve the management of wastewater in Indigenous communities, provide continuous access to clean water, safe water storage and most importantly protect the subterranean waters from contamination from residual wastewater. We would like to give many thanks to our partners @liquidiv and @fephac_huni_kui_oficial for their support and trust in our mission 📷 @txira_hunikui by @mothersoftheamazon

@yawakexkex @adair_isarua @hushahu_yawanawa

It was a very important moment for us to share a day with the children of the village, planting 200 fruit seedlings thanks to a donation from @mothersoftheamazon.

Planting not only the seedlings that will one day give fruit for the children but also planting the importance of caring for the rainforest in their hearts. by @mothersoftheamazon

Mothers of the Amazon in collaboration with the Global Institute for Peace and the University of São Paulo has supported the Shanenawa People in protecting their ancestral territory and help preserve their way of living. Since 2022, we have been working side by side with the Shanenawa People to help them protect a land that stands as a green buffer between their territory and the city of Fejo in the Brazilian Amazon. This land is now owned and held by the Shanenawa Cooperative and under the governance of the Shanenawa People. We are very grateful for everyone that supported this initiative. To learn more about this project and see the full version of our short film visit our website! @povoshanenawa.oficial @vakaynu by @mothersoftheamazon

Happy Indigenous Day to all the communities, famillies and mothers we support in the Amazon! by @mothersoftheamazon

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. This picture depicts the generosity of the forest and its people. A small wild boar was orphaned after his mother was killed by poachers, an indigenous mother of the Awa-Guajá People, feeds him to live. The Brazilian senate just voted favorably on the Marco Temporal law that could revoke the last 35 years of demarcation of indigenous territories, including over 20 villages we support. One wanders, how can we as a society, destroy what sustains us? At MOTA we are dedicated to protect what sustains life on earth, the rainforest and its communities who are at the frontline of the defense of our climate. In the upcoming weeks we will be sharing more about what we have been working on in the last year! by @mothersoftheamazon

"URGENT! In support of the Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil, APIB, we call on the international community to prevent a genocide in Brazil.
As citizens from all over the world, we are uniting our voices to demand urgent justice for the indigenous peoples of Brazil. We reinforce the cry of indigenous leaders from all over the Amazon Basin and beyond, and ask you to mobilize all the efforts within your power to prevent a historic injustice being committed by the House of Representatives against the indigenous peoples of Brazil. We refer to the upcoming voting of Bill 490/2007 and its appendices.
This is a matter of extreme urgency in terms of global climate change, the crisis of tropical deforestation and the human rights of indigenous peoples. Please share, divulgate, and ask all your followers and friends, to sign the petition and stop the approval of genocide.
Please read the open letter and sign the petition here: https://chng.it/GTFgqVw5 “ by @mothersoftheamazon
