Every material in a home should feel like a decision, not a default.

When we choose materials, we start with one question: how should this space feel? Then we pick the textures that create that feeling and fit how each room will be used.

In this home, stone carries that story from the outside in:

➡️ The exterior stone continues inside as a statement wall in the living room, connecting the home to its setting
➡️ In the bathrooms, stone wraps the walls and countertops for a calm, spa-like feel
➡️ Even organization spaces get a beautiful stone backsplash and countertop

Using natural materials throughout, in different ways, creates a quiet sense of connection from room to room. You might not notice it right away, but you feel it. The home reads as one complete idea instead of a collection of separate rooms.

That’s what intentional design looks like to us. Every texture has a reason, and every room belongs to the whole.

Scandinavian design was born in a place where winter days are short and daylight is precious. Every choice works to bring more light into the home and hold onto it.

That idea fits right here in the Wasatch. As the days get shorter, the homes that feel best are the ones built around light from the start.

In this home, that meant:

↳ Large, unobstructed windows placed to follow the sun through the day
↳ Open sightlines so daylight moves freely from room to room
↳ Clean details that let the light and the views take the lead

Our design approach starts long before the first wall goes up. We study the site, the sun path, and the views, then shape the home around how you’ll actually live in it. The result is a space that feels calm, warm, and bright.

Where in your home do you wish you had more natural light? 👇

The details that make the difference 🤍

For House of Four Chairs, we had the chance to work with @tilesofezra & @mountainwestinteriors to bring so much texture, character, and craftsmanship into the home. From statement tile moments to the finishes that tie each space together, every selection was made to feel intentional and completely unique to this house.

So grateful for the incredible partners who helped bring our vision to life! @tilesofezra @mountainwestinteriors

Call it a garage, and you're describing the wrong room.

The gym at the Lumen House was designed as a wellness space from the start, which meant it got the same attention as any room in the main house. Flooring built to take real weight, day after day. A full equipment layout planned around how people actually move through a workout instead of what fits along a wall. A custom built sauna in the corner, framed and finished in place.

Here is why that matters. Most home gyms get used for about six weeks. They fail because they feel like a compromise, tucked into leftover square footage with bad light and a concrete floor.

This one was never a leftover. It was built to be somewhere you want to be, and it will get used every single day because of it.

That is the difference between space you have and space you use.
