I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember. From my earliest memories, movement has been my voice, my escape, and my source of healing. Dance is where I find freedom, expression, and connection to something greater than myself. But over time, I realized that not every child is granted this gift of movement. And that realization became the spark behind Moves With Meaning. Moves With Meaning is more than just a project—it’s a movement rooted in the belief that every child, regardless of their abilities, deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of dance. It’s about bringing awareness to the children in special education, who often face unseen barriers in accessing the therapeutic benefits of movement. Through my own passion for dance, I want to provide them with the tools to discover healing, expression, and empowerment through movement, and to experience the profound sense of purpose that comes with it. For many, dance isn’t just about performing steps—it’s a deeply personal journey of self-expression, confidence-building, and emotional release. It’s a language that transcends words, a universal bridge that connects mind, body, and soul. Moves With Meaning is dedicated to creating spaces where children, especially those with special needs, can find their voice through movement and experience the healing power that dance can provide. I believe that when we make movement accessible to all, we do more than just teach dance—we change lives. We help children find joy, build resilience, and discover their own potential. We send a message to the world that every child, regardless of their challenges, deserves the opportunity to thrive through the art of movement. This cause is not just important—it is urgent. In a world that often marginalizes those with disabilities, we must raise awareness and create opportunities that promote inclusion, understanding, and empathy. Moves With Meaning is a call to action for all of us to lift one another up, to recognize the power of dance as a tool for healing, and to ensure that every child has the chance to find their purpose through movement. Together we Move with Meaning. With love, Charlize Behroozan by @moveswithmeaning

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new President of Moves with Meaning.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Moves with Meaning is a club where we get together to dance and spend time with students with special needs at our school. It’s honestly one of the most meaningful parts of our school community, and I’m so grateful that I get to help lead it this year.

What I love most about Moves with Meaning is that it gives everyone a chance to just be themselves, have fun, and make real connections. It’s not about being the best dancer or knowing what you’re doing. It’s about showing up, getting involved, and making someone’s day a little better.

I’m really excited for everything we have planned this year, and I would love to see more people get involved. If you’ve ever thought about joining, this is your sign. You don’t need any dance experience at all, and you definitely don’t have to be nervous about coming alone.

Come hang out, dance with us, and be part of something that means a lot to so many people. We’d love to have you in Moves with Meaning. by @moveswithmeaning
