The teenage me is going crazy inside 🤣 @allhiphopcom is not only one of the most legendary hip hop / rap websites, it is one that I have been reading since I was a teenager just starting out in music. For them to feature my new project is SUCH a BLESSING!! 💯🙏 #Thankful #RootedInPower #SideBySide #FeaturedArticle #AllHipHop by @mrgrippz

Cindy Starfox Brysman 2011-2026 ❤️🙏 #RIP my girl. You were the sweetest & spiciest pup. Thank you for being part of our family & spending your life with us. We love you, forever. #TilWeMeetAgain by @mrgrippz

I’ve never been a music artist that dove deep into “love songs”. I have written songs about love; I have plenty of songs about my interest in females in my old catalog, but I had never really written a “love song” in my career. I realize now that this was because I had never truly been in love before. While working on this new group album, “Side By Side”, that had changed. I met my person, my soulmate, the woman who would become my wife & life partner - @_priscilla27_ . I remember her being in the studio with me when I was producing the beat. My process remains the same as it did when I started making music in 2001 - I produce beats & listen to them repeatedly to hear what they are telling me to write. Once I am inspired to write, the words just flow out of me or through me from my life experiences. With the emotionality of this instrumental - I knew exactly how I was going to approach it. The year and some change before I met my wife was some of the darkest times of my life - which is a story for another day - but out of the darkness, the brightest source of light & love came into my life. I never thought a love like hers would find me, but I couldn’t be happier to have been wrong.

Three years ago, the universe finally brought us together ✨️
Loving you has been the best and easiest part of my life.
Thank you for being unapologetically yourself. Thank you for always showing up. And, thank you for loving me (shenanigans and all) the way you do.

xoxo - your wife, forever & always 💖 by @mrgrippz
