“Releasing this single was my attempt to do it myself.” Speaking about ‘Legendary Children (All Of Them Queer)’, originally released this month in 1994 following my performance at Pride that same year. To celebrate the anniversary, I’ve released a 2026 re-issued version of the single, featuring new remixes from @luvfoundationmusic. It releases on limited edition pink vinyl this Friday 30th October, pre-order yours now via the link in my bio. by @mrhollyjohnson
The Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman, Liverpool’s own Holly Johnson, has been confirmed as the first headliner for the 2027 Salt and Tar music weekender, taking the stage on Saturday 14th August. Organisers say the event will be back at Lock and Quay, with Johnson joined by special guests. The announcement comes after Johnson took his Welcome to the Pleasuredome 40th anniversary tour to his home city. The weekender has grown into a key date in the Merseyside calendar. Almost 12,000 people attended in 2025, and past performers include Tom Jones, Sugababes, Billy Ocean and Status Quo. The four-day event also gives a stage to local bands and artists. sefton More acts are expected to be announced, so watch this space. #hollyjohnson #saltandtar #bootle #liverpool #scousepress by @mrhollyjohnson
