Can you believe it's already been a year?? Happy 11th anniversary #teamwukkout - we wouldn't be here without you and are so grateful to have you with us on this journey.

Now let's throw it back to a year ago when we celebrated our 10th year the only way we knew how - with the backyard jam to end all backyard jams at @therogersgarden.

A rare #StoryTime:

I was going through my video collection that is full of captured moments I enjoy in real time to revisit later just like in this unedited video clip here. What I didn’t fully realize in this moment was how much of a story it would eventually tell me…

As a videographer, I see a one-take video starting with a selfie angle that turns into an artist performance angle. I also see the point of view of a video-journalist and a music video of an artist performing live. Simple right?

Then I thought this also looks like a music video and a behind the scenes peek combined all in one…

From the music video perspective, the set design was perfect thanks to the beautiful interior and essence of @misslilys restaurant where this amazing performance took place!

Between the colorful glowing and flickering lights blending together, the golden overhead lightbulb 💡, and the perfectly matching vocals of @ishmaellevi on the guitar 🎸 with @yabuddyspuddy in the back on the 🪘drums, it looked and sounded like the perfectly staged set from where I was sitting… Literally!

You can also hear that it’s a packed house yet somehow @ishmaellevi and @yabuddyspuddy, who even though you can’t see him you can still feel his presence on the drums 🪘, are performing unfazed almost as if the background sounds were apart of the performance!

And with the flick of a wrist the camera ends with a behind the scenes angle of your very on video-journalist in selfie angle mode on full effect. The different interior design gave me a whole new beautiful scenic background to work with if I do say so myself, which now leads me to the introspection portion of the story…

I was today years old when I realized that I actually use my personal learnings and professional experiences together to tell and make stories worth sharing. They start out as a simple video clips of me documenting a moment of happiness. Then when I watch them back later, they evolve and connect to mean so much more!
Who knew one video could prove to me that I have put a lifetime of work into my craft of telling stories and it’s literally become my lifestyle!

Did anybody get anything else watching this video clip? 😅 by @mrliviz

It is the last Friday of 2022 so here’s a flashback to @ishmaellevi performing “Redemption Song” at @theodoresamuels first art show at the @majorowensctr in Brooklyn!

Enjoy and share often! 🎶✨🎸🎤

It’s been a while since catching up with the talented @ishmaellevi but of course he did not disappoint last week performing for @talenttonight at the @shrineharlem. Accompanied by his talented band mate @edumoracosta, these two definitely had the crowd eager for more! Enjoy this #bts snippet on repeat. Don’t worry, you will not be judged! 😉🔥♾️
