What’s the point of cosplaying as heroes if we don’t step up and act when the time is here? ✊🏽🌲

Thanks to @milonguerica for organizing the #nationalparks protest at @indianadunesnps — I didn’t have a sign that day so I’ve made this video of the beauty of our NPS instead.

I’m a proud Oregonian and grew up exploring our state’s public lands, and continued by venturing to 22 of our National Parks. I want others to be able to do the same now and in the future.

C’est fini! This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn 🤩 Please feel free to share this (with credit!) and if there are any teachers out there who would like to hang this in their classroom, message me and I’ll send you a pdf/jpeg copy.
.
Art is something that I turn to to help process things and this piece was no different. Strong black characters have meant so much to me growing up and even still today (I cried when I saw Black Panther, not gonna lie) and I know many of you take solace from the real world in fiction and art too. Fiction is still diverse, and black people are still strong and proud and beautiful in all these worlds you’ve seen on your screens. #wematter .
.
On a more lighthearted note, if anyone can name and list all the characters in this successfully, I’ll draw something for you! 👍🏽

🎥 Day 2 of my Dragon Con weekend recap!

Day 2 advice: caffeine. You will need so much caffeine to get through the weekend. Mamy thanks to Mountain Dew 💚

My first time at Dragon Con! A lot of friends asked me to report back on my experience as they’ve always wanted to go, so here is the first of five daily DC recap videos 🎥

Day 1 lesson: TAKE THE NEWBIE TOUR, it saved me so much time over the whole weekend.

While I had a lot of great advice from long time DC-goers, it was still very overwhelming as a newbie. I hope this is able to help give another example of what a weekend at DragonCon can be like for any future newbies.

What did everyone get up to on Sunday at @dragoncon ?

We were some chaotic busy bees 🐝 it was fun to see what everyone got up to outside of “where are you” texts and checking Find My Friends!

After stumbling across Jo aka @msartsyace on Threads back in December of 2025 and falling in love with her cosplay work, she joins me as a guest. This episode was recorded during the FIFA World Cup, and there are references to the game happening at the time (Mexico vs Ecuador) throughout the episode.

With that in mind, we kicked things off by talking about the FIFA World Cup, and Football in general. We both talked about tuning in to the various matches throughout the month at the time, and what draws us in. Jo and I talk about what teams we were rooting for, some of the history of the world cup and changes to the game this year. Jo also talks about the disparities between teams from different nations, and we have a conversation about racism and affluence in the FIFA World Cup, and in the sport in general. Jo also talks about her attention to the sport after the world cup is over, which leagues she may or may not watch, and more.

We then go from Mexico to Westeros, as we talk about House of the Dragon. Jo talks about how she got into the series, her experience with watching Game of Thrones, and characters that she loves from the series. We also talk about some of the casting of the series (Hello Steve Toussaint, aka Lord Corlys Velaryon, and Clinton Liberty aka Addam of Hull), stories we'd love to see explored in Game of Thrones series (I seriously learned about things I didn't know thanks to Jo, and did lots of Wiki-diving after the episode). Recorded during the early part of this season, we do speculate about what was to come. Tell us how we did!

Jo and I then wrap up by talking about Cosplay. We talk about how she got into cosplay, the characters she's cosplayed, competing and winning a Judges Award at C2E2, and what she's working on in the future.
