My nomination has officially been signed and will be submitted to the VEC in the next couple of days 💙

The writs are being issued at 6pm tomorrow night, which means we are officially in election mode.

Prepoll starts on Wednesday 18th (there is also low sensory voting on the 17th, but we’re not sure what that looks like yet) and I’d love your help. Whether you can spare a couple of hours, half a day or a full day, your help on pre-poll and on election day is greatly appreciated. Please register via the links below:

After a trip up to Richmond for an announcement on elective surgery waiting lists, today involved a stop at Ballam Park for the Mayor’s Grea Pet-together, a visit to @ballamparkhomestead for Devonshire tea and a look at the beautiful wisteria, and ended with an afternoon of doorknocking.

September may have had some challenging moments, but there was also a lot of good, and that’s what I’m holding onto for the next few months - for every hard thing we face, there are way more good ones to balance it out ✨ by @msbreemonique

Happy 15th birthday to my favourite person 💕 by @msbreemonique

One thing this campaign is teaching me is just how much of a thick skin you need to have - the face to face reception has been incredibly positive, but online well that’s another story.

Faceless men behind locked FB profiles think it’s ok to comment on my weight as though size defines my capabilities, my community involvement or my academic and professional experience.

Sure I’ve started to laugh it off and block the FB users but given we work so hard to teach our kids to be kind online, when will we start to expect the same from adults? by @msbreemonique
