Most of what keeps your teeth healthy happens at home, long after you’ve left our chair. Brushing twice a day and cleaning between your teeth do the heavy lifting, and what suits you depends on your teeth, your gums and how you live. A toddler, a teenager in braces and a grandparent with sensitive teeth won’t all need the same thing.

Walk down the dental aisle at the supermarket and it’s easy to feel lost. Mouthwashes, mousses, whitening pastes, brushes in every shape. If you’re not sure where to start, bring it up at your next visit and we’ll point you in the right direction. You might be surprised how simple it can turn out to be.

Our Kyneton team is always happy to talk it through, even if it’s a quick question at the front desk.

At Market Street Dental, we believe in clear, honest communication so you can make informed decisions about your dental care. Every treatment has its own considerations, benefits, and potential risks, and understanding these is an important part of making an informed treatment decision.

In line with the guidelines set by the Dental Board of Australia and AHPRA, we provide balanced, factual information about all treatments during every consultation. We do not offer any specific guarantees about outcomes and ensure you’re aware that results can vary between individuals.

Find more detailed information on veneers, teeth whitening, clear aligners (Invisalign) and dental implants on our website.

Plenty of people put off the dentist, and it’s often the memory of a visit that felt rushed or uncomfortable that keeps them away.

If that sounds familiar, let us know when you book. We’ll give you extra time to settle in, explain what’s happening in plain language before it happens, and make every decision together. There’s no pressure and no judgement, whether your last check-up was six months ago or six years.

Looking after nervous adults and kids is a big part of how we run this family practice in the heart of Kyneton, so you won’t be the first person to ask for a little more time.

Call (03) 5422 4500 or book online whenever you’re ready.

At Market Street Dental, an Invisalign consultation starts with a conversation about what you’d like to change, and nobody expects you to decide on the day.

Invisalign is a series of custom clear aligners that gradually move your teeth, with no wires or brackets. You wear them around 20 to 22 hours a day and take them out to eat and brush.

What can it treat? Depending on your teeth, it may suit crowding, gaps and bite issues like overbite, underbite and crossbite. More complex cases can be better suited to braces.

How long does it take? Some cases take around six months, others 18 months or longer, and you’ll get an estimate at your consultation.

What does it cost? That depends on your case. You’ll receive a written quote after your consultation and a quick 3D scan, with no putty involved.

Our Kyneton team welcomes patients from across the Macedon Ranges. Results vary from person to person.

Market Street Dental is proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) @nbcfaus.

Throughout October, Market Street Dental will donate $5 for every patient who attends the practice for an appointment.

The donation is made by Market Street Dental, with no additional cost to our patients.

Funds raised will be donated to NBCF in support of breast cancer research in prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.

Your smile. Our donation.
A cause close to our hearts.

If the dentist makes you nervous, it helps to know who you’ll be dealing with. At Market Street Dental, that’s most likely Dr Sonya or Monika, whether you’re booking in, asking what a procedure involves, or bringing the kids for their first visit.

Questions are welcome at every stage, and explaining what’s involved is part of the appointment.

Need a crown without weeks of back-and-forth appointments? At Market Street Dental, same-day crowns are fabricated in-house, so your consultation, X-rays and fitting can all happen in one unhurried visit. Same-day crowns are $1,449 each, with consultation and X-rays included.

Ever wondered where your crown actually gets made? At Market Street Dental, it happens on site in our in-house lab in Kyneton, so the whole process stays under one roof.

A crown may be recommended for a tooth that’s cracked, worn or heavily restored, and whether it’s the right option for you is something Dr Sonya assesses at a consultation. If the idea makes you a little nervous, bring your questions along. Talking it through first is part of how we like to work.

Your first visit doesn't need to feel like a big commitment.

A check-up and clean is simply a chance to have a good look at what's going on, catch small things early, and get to know Sonya and the team in a space built to feel calm rather than clinical. Every check-up includes a comprehensive exam and oral cancer screening, a scale and polish, fluoride treatment, x-rays, and a treatment plan tailored to you, so you leave knowing exactly where you stand and what, if anything, comes next.

For our first 150 bookings, this is available gap free for $99, part of getting our new Kyneton practice off to a welcoming start for Kyneton and Macedon Ranges families.

We see this as the first step in a much longer relationship. Somewhere you and your family can keep coming back to, year after year.

Book your check-up and clean at Market Street Dental, Kyneton.

*The gap-free offer applies only to eligible private health fund members. If your fund does not cover the full cost of treatment, you will be required to pay the difference.

One of the questions people ask before a first visit is who they'll actually be dealing with, often times it is our marvelous Monika!

As one of our dental assistants, she's usually the person checking in on how you're feeling and keeping things unhurried, whether you're bringing the kids in or coming by yourself. Got a question before your appointment? Get in touch, and Monica won't hesitate to help!
