introducing @__lemuse for nova archives xx

— i could go super deep and heavy into this BUT i will actually save it for another time. in summary, i LOVE to do what i LOVE and this era has served me into my next chapter. 🫶🏽

as opposed to deleting, archiving or letting the page turn into a forgotten account… i am so lucky to pass it to another member of community, @_franlemus !! it seems so right, I’ve been watching them begin to archive the same spaces & people — and as a fellow latin nightlife baddie … IKTR !!!

congratulations fran & thank you for keeping the memory, the message and the heart of bne going… so stay awhile, enjoy the new era for both of us (unless you h8 the qu**rs ??) and what it brings… i’m sure it will be renamed soon!!

thank you always for your support & love you all <3

HOUSE OF LA SADÉ - BTS

In our interview with the House of La Sadé, we asked its members how being in a ballroom house and having a chosen family redefined what ‘family’ and ‘home’ means to them.

As house member, Loki, expressed, “it’s really family in the sense of bearing yourself to each other emotionally and not just that we all ki, which we do [but] it’s a place that really allows for the full messiness of human emotion and that has love that’s big enough for that emotion.”

Local Event Spotlight

Last November, @mayatunova stepped into the world of @echochamberbne at their ‘Under the Sea Ball,’ taking us along with her as she documents the night.

“I danced under the sea with mermaids, men in shirtless tuxedos, and a rogue SpongeBob by a beach reserve,” she writes.

“It’s the closest I have ever come to experiencing that quintessential 90s rave culture. A mix of dirt under your nails, bass rattling through trees, and strangers sharing water like a ritual that makes you feel like you’ve entered a dream-state.“

@echochamberbne is a recurring rave/event series, fostering an underground space for sound and dance across hidden locations throughout the city. But behind it is a group shrouded in mystery, with its organisers remaining largely unknown.
