This has been one of my biggest dreams! A very big special thanks to Singapore’s only TOTO tribute band, Mushanga - super special mention to LJ for allowing me to share the stage with the band for this song. Thank you also to all the other legends up there! What an amazing show today! This song has always been special to me. Growing up, I listened to it play many times on my dad’s HIFI system - either on vinyl or CD, and also many nights lying in the backseat of the car otw home, enjoying TOTO on the radio… This song is about getting over loss. Grieving. I pray that if you’re grieving over someone or something, that you allow yourself time to grieve and heal. I love how this song is written, the groove, and the vibe that it brings whenever I listen to it. It is absolutely my favourite song in the world. Here’s to you, pop! 🥂 hope you’re enjoying music, wherever you are! 📹& 🤳: @ggenewivv and @hi1000k #TOTO #totoband #father #illbeoveryou #tributeband #livemusic @theblackbird.sg @totothemselves @stevelukatherofficial by @mushanga.band

This was one of the best nights of our lives. Watching our heroes in the flesh, breaking a leg, and playing the music we all love. This was why we do what we do when @simon_yong and I started this tribute band, only playing the music of @totothemselves. Their music is just too good not to be paid tribute to, although sometimes I find myself not worthy. The night was magical, as they started with a bang with child’s anthem, and shortly after, with the cornerstone of their music, Rosanna. When the slightly different intro to 99 started I was taken aback as this one of the hits they don’t play very often, but did it here. They did not give us a chance to catch a breath, with every member doing their segment of explosive solos and leading into the next hit. To the request of the audience, Steve cued Shannon to count in the intro to “I’ll be over you” and that spurred all of us to wave our flash lights in synch. Came “I won’t hold you back”, my favourite ballad by them, it got me emotional. There were many moments I thought to myself “I hope they can do this forever” and I really hope they do. I also hope that our little tribute band can continue playing their music in the best way we can. We want to give thanks TOTO for being truly one of the greatest Rock Band in the history of music. Till the next one. Peace & Love ✌🏼 -LJ by @mushanga.band
