![Jhini Bini Chadariya (The Brittle Thread) is a visually striking film by Ritesh Sharma.
I hope this film will find its way and roar to many people around the world.
The dynamics in the film left me astounded. The soundscape of the film doesn't let you escape from the place of Varanasi. I completely lost myself in the film, how fragile we are as a human in the name of religion. The spaces in the film are too organic and delve you deep into the narrative. The film not only just talks about religion in India, it's all over the world and we have to understand the sensitivity of it. We don't need inspiration to make or watch this kind of film. I wonder, what a journey it was for the team in the making of this film.
The film doesn't shy away from showing how religion and politics tear apart the fragile threads that bind humanity. It forces viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about social divisions, while asking, through its characters, "Why is this normal?" The movie leaves a lasting impact, making you ponder over the fragility of human connections amidst a backdrop of hate and bigotry.
Overall, Jhini Bini Chadariya is a powerful commentary on the socio-political forces at play in modern-day India, anchored by compelling performances and thoughtful direction. It’s a film that leaves you questioning the norms we often accept as inevitable.
We are all made of brittle threads, and our choice to grow, to be more empathetic, and to celebrate our differences rather than be divided by them is the only way to soften these threads. “Jhini Bini Chadariya” is a must-watch and one of the best movies of the year. It’s available now on @moviesaints as pay-per-view.
