Tonight was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I got the chance to share the stage with my dear SANGIN Gary/IU SISTAH Solo Dolo Alaina at her show at The Jazz Kitchen. So so grateful for the opportunity to play a small roll in this amazing show. Alaina has ALWAYS been consistent with the love and support that she has shown to me…and for that, I’m forever grateful!!! Special shout out to my sistah Da'Keisha Big'is-beautiful Bryant for recording the video. Let me know what yall think!!! #BreakinMyHeart #PrettyBrownEyes #SoulfulMuzik #TheJazzKitchen #MintCondition by @muzikislyfe8604

Welp…no time like the present to start dropping a few shots from my October photoshoot with my sistah @sheshoots317. As I round the corner into these final days of the year, I can’t help but sit back and reflect on just how far God has brought me. This smile? It’s not just cute—it’s genuine, it’s healed, and it’s finally mine again.

Think about it…this year alone I had life-changing weight loss surgery, took an international birthday trip solo, added some fresh color to these locs, started crafting two new songs for next year, finished multiple stage plays and a short film I’ve been sitting on, stayed committed to therapy, crushed goals in the gym, and exceeded every expectation I had for my health.

Most importantly…I fell deeper in love with the version of me that used to hide behind guilt, shame, and insecurity. 2025 has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING—not perfect, but transformational in every way. And honestly? I can’t wait to see what God unfolds next.

Ride with me… it might get bumpy, but trust me—it’ll be worth every moment.

Congratulations Madame Gov. Elect!!!

See you soon!!!! by @muzikislyfe8604

I started October with a 5K for Alzheimer’s awareness and closed it today completing the TREO Foundation 5K for the awareness of obesity education!

This time last year, I could only finish half of this same course. But today, I crossed that finish line having walked EVERY SINGLE STEP without stopping! Just a steady stride, my headphones, and the encouragement of my coach Chante and Auntie Shelley.

What a difference a year makes! 🙌🏾 I’m grateful for renewed strength, my surgeon Dr. Stefanidis, and everyone who donated and cheered me on.

This is bigger than weight loss…THIS IS WHAT CHOOSING LIFE LOOKS LIKE! 💪🏾

The summer of 2006 will always be a major turning point for me. After losing both of my parents within 3 weeks of each other…then turning 20 just days after losing my mother…and returning back to IU to lead a ministry…a brotha was constantly DRAINED!!! But, in the midst of all of that, the Lord blessed me with some amazing women that reminded me of a mother’s love. Arletha Dabney was one of those. I specifically remember one moment we were at SBC, the first Mother’s Day after my mom had passed. We sang a song, per usual, that moved the house. When we were done, I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I had to walk out of the choir stand into the hallway. I didn’t know that Mama Arletha was going to be coming out of the fellowship hall right at the same time, and she met me with the biggest and warmest hug ever. I needed that then (I could lowkey use it now), and I will never ever forget it. I’m FOREVER grateful for that moment in time and for everything that you poured out along the way. Sending prayers and love to all of the family, friends and loved ones that are feeling this loss.

Forever in our hearts! by @muzikislyfe8604

I was minding my own good business late last week and I got an email stating that I was being nominated for this award!!! I don’t know who…I don’t know how…and I don’t know why. But what I do know is that I’m grateful to my Lord and Savior to be acknowledged in this season. In the words of one of my favorite preachers on the planet (Pastor R Janae Pitts-Murdock) How Kind of Our God!!!!!

MONSTER CANDY!!!

This was the craziness that my trainer at my gym at work came up with for today. Pick a word from each column and knock out the excercise associated with the letter. For this to be my first time back in the gym in 2 weeks….this appear very daunting. But I pressed my way through each movement. My arms and my core are ON FIRE though!!!! Back at it on Wednesday before this 5K on Saturday!!!!

I hope you got up to move a little today!!!!

Happiest of Birthdays to this super talented, hard working, hilarious guy that I get to do life with from time to time. Thank you for all that you do, even when you get on the last of the last nerves that I have left. Lol. I hope that you have a fantastic birthday and an incredible year! You’re much greater than what you give yourself credit for, and the world is starting to catch on to that very fact!!! by @muzikislyfe8604

After a week and a half away from the gym and trails, between healing my first tattoo and fighting off a sinus and ear infection, Unc got back to it today!!! 💪🏾💙 Before heading to rehearsal, I decided to get some steps in as I prepare for this 5K on the 31st! Feeling clearer, stronger, and ACCOMPLISHED!!! 🙌🏾

Hope you made time to pour into YOU today! Whether physically or mentally…YOU MATTER!
