handing off your social media isn’t an overnight thing. but 4 months from now you could genuinely never have to think about a hook, trend, caption, or hashtag strategy again. that’s what i’m here for. #socialmediamarketing #solopreneur #smallbusiness #socialmediamanager #marketingforsolopreneurs by @mvck3nzie
majored in a “dead” language. ended up in marketing. turns out they’re the same job? now i make marketing for humans, not the algorithm, so solopreneurs can do their thing. #socialmediamarketing #classicstwitter #solopreneur #marketingstrategy #humanfirstmarketing by @mvck3nzie
stuck asking “what does this even have to do with my business?” instead of running it? marketing is my ful-time job. that’s why you shouldn’t be the one doing it. #solopreneur #socialmediamarketing #smallbusinessowner #socialmediatips #marketingforsolopreneurs by @mvck3nzie
additional details in the caption that effectively say the same thing: I committed a marketing crime, I’m in social media timeout. Looking for clients, there’s only one spot left at this $$ tier. Other than that, see ya later 🙂‍↕️💖 by @mvck3nzie
You’ve rewritten your bio 9 times and still have 0 new customers 🫢 (It feels productive. It is not productive.) When nobody’s buying, most people assume the offer is wrong, so they tweak the bio, the posting schedule, the grid. Usually the offer is fine. What’s off is that your bio, your website, and what you say out loud at a party all describe three slightly different businesses. Customers can’t buy what they can’t quite make out. So I made a FREE 10-minute audit: 7 signs your business is hiding from its customers, plus a 3-question check to find the gap. 👉🏽 Question 1 is harmless: What does your Instagram bio say you do? Word for word. No editing it first. Free audit is in my bio. Let’s stop posting into the void and creating an online presence that attracts more customers 🙏🏽 by @mvck3nzie
Chat it’s literally happening!!! First client first meeting is in the rear view 🥳 listen to anyone wondering if you should take the leap, if you’re good enough to, smart enough, QUALIFIED (whatever that means)…YOU 👏🏽 ARE 👏🏽 READY 👏🏽 It’s not a feeling. It’s a decision to bet on yourself as THE investment 🫵🏽 by @mvck3nzie
Really just on a mission to find the visionary solopreneurs with cool ass businesses but struggle bus marketing 🫡 “Marketing” is very much a dumpster fire. Social media asks you to perform. But you didn’t build a business to turn it into cheap entertainment for likes. If you need marketing, but need it handled, let’s get started @ the link in my bio. I have one spot left at the current rate and only a few left for 2026!! #solopreneur #smallbusinessmarketingtips #marketinghack by @mvck3nzie
where are my pink ds lite girlies??!?!! remember when things used to be fun? when you could play a game without getting stopped by a glp-1 ad every five seconds?? and when events had unique flyers designed by real human artists??? i do. i’m so violently nostalgic for the cool side of tech and marketing i’ll bring it back single-handedly if i have to. OR you could follow me and we can do it together 🫶🏽 by @mvck3nzie
i was supposed to pick a lane 🙄 that’s what it felt like when I left undergrad with a Classical Humanities degree: teach latin or figure out how to get into business where people get paid. so i snuck into business via graphic design, then social media, then strategy. for a while, it was working so well i made it to a billion dollar corporation with a $20M budget of my own AND decided i wanted a master’s in marketing from a top-30 business school. talk about committing to the bit 😅 but honestly, big numbers with no narrative don’t mean much. dashboards and data tell you what happened, not WHY or what it MEANS. you can’t lifecycle-map your way to a customer who never felt anything to begin with. you can’t retention-market your way to loyalty if the brand isn’t telling a true story. the humanities i was supposed to leave behind? she was the main character the whole timeee. i’m done treating my real life foundation like a footnote 🙅🏽‍♀️ i’m mackenzie. i’m into brand lexicography, which is a language nerd’s way of saying i find the first, foundational words for words that are still rendering. i work with founders, solopreneurs, and visionaries who have built something REAL but have no idea how to tell people it exists. marketing problems are almost never about the business, product, or service. it’s that you haven’t chosen the language of your world yet. that’s what i fix. (and yes, I use AI. it’s a tool like a calculator, a computer, a clock. but the robots will never know what it means to be human. that part is on us.) consider a follow if ever been told to choose between what is foundational to YOU and what other people think is feasible. (you don’t btw!!) by @mvck3nzie
APPARENTLY the low effort shit is doing numbers these days?? I’m literally a content girlie and I’ve received multiple signs from the universe I am on the right path 💆🏽‍♀️ things are cookin up as we speak 😤 I felt weird posting with no lore so I’m pushing myself to put it out there. Here’s where we’re going next: worlds 🌍 vs stories 📚 The aforementioned website is LIVE in my bio if you want to start snooping 👀 by @mvck3nzie
Who else is OVER the job market discourse?? 🙋🏽‍♀️ Everyone has a POV, no one has any insight. The hiring process isn’t broken by accident. Somebody sets the filters, defines parameters, decides what success looks like. And they’re doing it without knowing how to think across contexts, only replicating and regurgitating. Creatives been doing the other thing. Saving inspo from all kinds of places. Synthesizing hella information and experiences. Making something real that didn’t exist before. Those aren’t “nice-to-have” soft skills…it’s the whole philosophy that drives progress. Swipe through for the sparknotes, comment “BEANS” for the full substack rant 🫘🌱 by @mvck3nzie
The modern hiring process (clearly) doesn’t screen for thinking. It pattern-matches for pattern-matching-ability 😒 Artists have always been our best thinkers, and the job market is hoeing us. I don’t have any hacks to beat the system, I’m just not playing the game anymore. I need to create, try, fail, and PLAY. The right opportunities will find me 🧘🏽‍♀️🧿🤞🏽 The full train of thought is live on my substack (🔗 in bio) if you want the whole picture. Send to fellow higher thinker, and save for when you need a reminder that it’s not you, it’s THE SYSTEM 😤✊🏽 by @mvck3nzie
