Griffon Men's Basketball Head Coach Brooks McKowen announced his signing class for the 2026-27 season.

McKowen and his staff have inked eight players for the upcoming season – four freshmen and four transfers.

"We are extremely excited about this recruiting class as a whole," McKowen said. "We were able to bring in players who fit the culture we established last season. This group has a great balance of experienced college basketball players from different levels, along with several talented freshmen who will be able to compete and contribute from day one."

The eight newcomers join seven players who are set to return for 2026-27, including two starters. MoWest, in McKowen's first season as head coach in 2025-26, went 21-12 and made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2021.

The Griffs are fresh off of their first 20-win season in men's basketball since 2002-03.

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025–26 Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Teams on Tuesday, March 24, with four Griffons earning the honor.

Noah King and Ty Henry were each named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team and will advance to the Academic All-America® ballot. They are joined by Gavin Hershberger and William Kiburis, who also earned All-District recognition.

Student-athletes were selected after posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher while meeting competition requirements of appearing in at least 90 percent of their institution’s games or starting a minimum of 66 percent of those contests.

The CSC Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined excellence on the court and in the classroom. Honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with finalists moving on to national voting conducted by CSC members. Academic All-America® selections (first, second, and third team) will be announced April 14.
