I Am you and I Am Broken I am you and I am broken these are my fractures these are my scars I am the pain of the mind I am the dark of the world I bleed for you I break for you I am the betrayed heart I am the imprisoned soul I drink the dark of the world I am the queen of blood and bone I walk among the nightmares where everything is nothing and nothing is everywhere the shadows kneel for me as I climb up the endless stair to the peak to the highest peak there I sit on my throne and watch our tears fall red from the sky -iden (from the poetry collection Everything was Nothing and Nothing was Everywhere avail for free download from my website www.mynameisiden.com) by @my_name_is_iden
Saturday November 7th, we are thrilled to offer the first of two Ohio-based films and filmmakers. At 3 PM, OutReels Cincinnati, screens IDEN, A STORY OF LOVE. According to filmmaker and Iden’s aunt Catherine Zimmerman, “This film is about much more than gender. IDEN (@my_name_is_iden) is the story of a parent and a spouse navigating a changing relationship. It is a story about self-discovery. It is a story of loss and love, of death and rebirth. It is a story that will take you through the dark places of the mind to discover the beauty of the soul. Join us on that journey, as Iden inspires and empowers us to share ourselves with the same vulnerability and honesty that she does.” Get your tickets to join us for this very personal documentary. Zimmerman will be in attendance and participate in a Q&A after the film. Tickets: www.outreelscincinnati.org by @my_name_is_iden
ok fam, what do you think? i used the latest issue of my zine Trigger Warning to debut a new style i’ve been experimenting w. this is a digital painting titled “Falling”done in procreate and based on an older analog piece of mine from way back in ‘21. I’ve included images of both here. this new piece is a huge departure stylistically from a lot of the art i’ve been making recently and clearly very different from the original but every portrait is a self portrait and im a different person now making art from a very different place. i would love to hear what you guys think. no ai always and forever #procreate #transartist #idencrockett #my_name_is_iden by @my_name_is_iden
you should sign up for my zine! i rarely share my artwork via social media but i do still make art and i do still share it. every other month i compile new art and writing into an e-zine titled Trigger Warning and send it to my mailing list. this is my answer to the intelectual theft, arbitrary censorship, and algorhythmic repression found here on IG and other platforms. if that’s a project you’d like to support than sign up! it’s free! dm me or follow the l!nk in my b!o thank you always my lovelies smooches and deuces✌️😘💋 #my_name_is_iden #ohioartists #transartist #idencrockett #darkartist by @my_name_is_iden
Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night to support myself and filmmaker Catherine Zimmerman at the Dayton premier of Iden: A Story of Love. Your support means so very to me. It isn’t easy to spread myself open for the world like this and knowing that people see and appreciate what we are trying to do w this piece gives me the strength to continue. thanks to @truerivir for the pics😘 by @my_name_is_iden
help me spread the word. 9/23 downtown dayton at the @neonmovies is the premier of Iden: A Story of Love. this is a trying time for the trans community. we are under attack from every side in this country and our voices have been nearly silenced. help us spread the word about this project. share about it. talk about and if your able come watch for yourself. there has never been a more critical time for trans stories to be heard. thank you always darlings. thank you @hrccincinnati for sponsoring this screening and thank you to my lovely friends @babelicious.xo and @thepleasurereceptors for providing the soundtrack out of the goodness of their hearts🤟🥹🏳️‍⚧️ by @my_name_is_iden
this is a long one and i know most people won’t stay to the end but that’s ok. the point is trying. the point is holding on to the hope that some of you will stay. some of you will listen and some of you will hear something that helps you to stay in this fight with me. we have a long struggle ahead of us. we need strength we need aendurance we need an energy that cannot be supplied by just a few of us. we need to be there for each other build hope for those that are hopeless lend strength to those that are weary and to keep building something that can be given to those that follow us because this struggle will extend well beyond our ability to engage in it. #translivesmatter #transrights #transartists by @my_name_is_iden
