For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by a passion to build systems, design processes, and create organizations that elevate people—placing them in positions where they can truly thrive by walking boldly in their gifts, talents, and purpose.

I poured my heart into designing products, services, and experiences that empowered others to live their best lives—not for profit, but from a place of pure purpose. In fact, I gave much of it away, because people over profit wasn’t just a catchy phrase—it was the cornerstone of my personal creed. It was, and still is, my raison d’être—my reason for being.

But as I’ve grown in wisdom and matured in business acumen, I’ve come to a powerful realization: true profitability isn’t about money—it’s about placement. It’s about aligning the right people in the right positions, at the right time.

Whether it’s choosing a significant other, selecting your closest friends, deciding which school district to place your children in, determining where you work, who your doctor is, or even where you worship—placement matters. The wrong person in a key area of your life doesn’t just create inconvenience… it can cost you dearly—your peace, your progress, and in some cases, your destiny.

So today, I speak this blessing over you:
May your integrity grow stronger.
May your discernment grow sharper.
May you become the type of person others can count on—
And may you attract people who see your value, honor your purpose,
and support your journey toward greatness.

Because when you’re rightly placed, purpose ignites. And when purpose ignites, miracles happen.

"The Life of YOUR DREAMS is WONDERFUL and YOU DESERVE IT!"™

I was not upset when the Tigers moved Tarik Skubal, and the reason comes down to perspective.

When you have watched baseball in this town long enough, your standard for an ace is built on a very different kind of iron. I watched Jack Morris take the ball and dictate terms. I watched Justin Verlander dominate with pure venom on the mound. I watched Doyle Alexander go 9-0 down the stretch in 1987 when every single start was do or die. I watched Dan Petry, Kenny Rogers, and David Price. I grew up on the lore of Mickey Lolich throwing three complete games in the 1968 World Series and Denny McLain winning 31 games in a single summer.

Those men belonged to an era where you pushed all your chips to the center of the table, handed them the baseball, and got completely out of the way. If you scratched across three runs, the game was essentially over. You rarely had to think about the bullpen because those pitchers took it personally. They viewed it as a sacred obligation to their teammates, the fans, and the city of Detroit to finish whatever they started.

Justin Verlander was the last true warrior of that lineage. He represented the absolute peak of modern dominance, relentless competition, and old-school completion. In October, he transformed into Optimus Prime, systematically breaking the will of the Athletics and the Yankees. The mutual respect between JV and Jim Leyland was legendary. Even during years when the rotation featured Max Scherzer, Rick Porcello, and David Price, Leyland never hesitated to make it known: Justin was the undisputed Ace.

Baseball changes, and modern pitching philosophy is built on pitch counts, five-inning starts, and match-up bullpens. Skubal is immensely talented, but when your standard for greatness was forged by pitchers who took the mound to carry an entire franchise on their backs for nine innings, you view roster decisions with a completely different lens. by @myleswmiller

If was an adult in the 80s… by @myleswmiller

The biggest issue with the reaction to this weekend’s game is the blatant disrespect toward Western Michigan, the MAC, and the talent on that field. Ref calls aside, dismissing WMU by claiming Michigan "should’ve beat the brakes off them" completely ignores reality. WMU is the defending MAC champion, coached with real discipline, and loaded with studs at key positions who showed up with heart. Credit where it’s due, respect to that program and those kids.

Here’s the hard truth: Western out-coached and out-played Michigan for the majority of four quarters.

Blaming the officials is an easy out. Players can't control whistles; they can only control execution. Even with one second put back on the clock, Western still needed 47 yards to steal the win. Giving up an uncontested 60-yard prayer and watching the hands team try to catch the ball instead of swatting it into the dirt was a fundamental, inexcusable breakdown. You have to finish the game.

Michigan’s issues run deeper than one missed assignment or one bad drive. It’s systemic. Fans can point fingers at Underwood, the offensive line, or special teams, but the buck stops at Schembechler Hall. The staff that built this system needs to do some serious soul-searching immediately, because Oklahoma isn't going to give them a pass this weekend. by @myleswmiller
