A home full of art, is a home filled with love. by @mywelch__

Can’t believe our baby is turning 3! This might need to be an annual tradition now 🥹🤍

Safe to say at three, @disney and @toystory has his heart.

Owning a home means bottomless projects. by @mywelch__

It’s been 7 months since we moved in, and the house is slowly but surely coming along. I’ve taken my time selecting pieces because I wanted to be intentional. I love art, and I want our home to hold curated pieces that don’t just look beautiful, but tell a story together.

Ive been drawn to organic shapes and pieces that feel like small treasures. The sprinkling of my own art throughout the house is my love letter to our space, a little creativity woven into the minimalist flow.

My mind always has a million tabs open, so the less clutter around me, the easier it is to actually sink into our home and feel calm. Of course, full disclosure it isn’t always neat. We have a toddler, so more often than not there are toys scattered throughout, and little fingerprints on everything. A home is meant to be lived in, and the calm comes from knowing we can always reset and come back to it.

Our house is far from finished, but I’ve loved getting to know it better and seeing what it reveals the longer we live here.

It’s been 6 years since I’ve painted on a canvas. I used to think becoming a mom meant setting that part of me down. In reality, it’s actually sharpened my drive, and consequently made me a better artist. I’ve stopped chasing balance because that is a myth, but I’ve learned to let both worlds exist even on hard days.
