Homemade Honey Burger Buns 🍔🤎 Soft, fluffy, beautifully golden, and absolutely worth making from scratch! Ingredients * 3 cups flour * ⅜ cup warm water (88 ml) * ⅜ cup milk (88 ml) * 3 tbsp honey (63 g) * 2¼ tsp instant yeast * 1 egg * 3 tbsp butter (42 g) * 1⅛ tsp salt (7 g) * 2¼ tsp oil (10 g) * Sesame seeds (optional) For the egg wash * 1 egg, beaten Instructions 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, honey, and milk. Stir together until well combined. 2. Add the mixture to the flour, then add the beaten egg and salt. Mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until a dough begins to form. 3. Add the softened butter and oil, then mix until incorporated. 4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead by hand for about 10–15 minutes until smooth, soft, and elastic. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little flour at a time. 5. Divide the dough into 6–8 equal portions, depending on how big you want your burger buns. 6. Shape each portion into a smooth ball, tucking the edges underneath. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray, leaving some space between each bun. Gently flatten the tops. 7. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for 25–30 minutes, or until noticeably puffy and increased in size. 8. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). 9. Brush the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired. 10. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until beautifully golden brown. 11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and enjoying! #food #quickrecipes #homemade #burger #explorepage by @mz.thomhie
