Movement for Everyone 💛🩵

One of my favorite parts of the New Albany Dance Festival wasn’t on the main stage—it was seeing our community come together during the free dance and wellness classes.

From young children trying dance for the first time to adults stepping out of their comfort zones, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, learning, and connection. Watching people of all ages experience the joy of movement reminded me why events like this are so important.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, instructed, and helped create such a welcoming experience. It was a privilege to document these moments.

Thank you to this amazing group of dancers for all the time, the hard work, and for the heart you put into it. Thank you for believing in flamenco and for helping keep it alive here in Ohio. I felt so proud to share the stage with you

Thank you to the organizers for putting this show together and for creating a space that celebrates and showcases different cultures and styles of dance . @nadancefestival

Friday Night Under the Lights ✨

There’s something special about live performance—the energy, the emotion, and the stories told through movement. It was an honor for Matthew James Photography to capture Friday evening’s performances at the New Albany Dance Festival.

From breathtaking choreography to powerful expressions, every performance showcased the incredible talent, passion, and dedication of the dancers, choreographers, and volunteers who make this event possible.

Thank you to the New Albany Dance Festival for trusting me to preserve these unforgettable moments. Here’s a small glimpse into an amazing evening celebrating the arts and our community.
