Nagaon University Extends Support to Assam Flood Relief Efforts

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian service, Nagaon University has contributed ₹5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support those affected by the recent floods across Assam.

A significant part of this contribution—₹2 lakh—has been drawn from the cash award received by the University upon being conferred the My Bharat NSS Award 2022–23 by the Hon’ble President of India. By dedicating a portion of this prestigious award to flood relief, the University has reaffirmed its belief that recognition carries with it a responsibility to serve society.

The cheque was formally presented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam by a University delegation comprising the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, the Registrar (i/c), the Dean of Students’ Welfare, and the NSS Programme Coordinator during a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office.

Through this contribution, Nagaon University reiterates its steadfast commitment to standing with the people of Assam and promoting the values of compassion, solidarity, and collective responsibility in times of adversity.
