Chidinma Uvere's pride-filled introduction in Vietnam. @boladay1 (NAIJA TV) - Chidinma Uvere (@zephyr_dhinma) has arrived in Vietnam for the Miss Fitness Supermodel 2026 pageant, and her introduction at the sash ceremony has stirred pride across Nigeria and the continent. Standing at the microphone in a video by @WorldBeauties_Org, hands clasped, Uvere introduced herself as a representative of the Giant of Africa before the host bestowed the sash on her. "My name is Chidinma Uvere, and with pride I stand before you representing the most popular African country in the world. I'm carrying with me the spirit of the nation that refuses to give up, and just by the minutes rises from every challenge. I am the Miss @FitnessSupermodelNigeria 2026, and I represent the 'Giants of Africa', Nigeria. Thank you," she said. The Abia State-born Miss wore a full-length, off-the-shoulder mermaid gown made from vibrant Nigerian print fabric designed by @DiliaFashionHouse. The bodice featured a sweetheart neckline with a small bow at the centre, a cinched waist with wrap detail, and a flared mermaid hem. Structured ruffled cap sleeves sat on both shoulders, with the same ruffle extending as a statement detail at the back. The bold geometric pattern—diamond, zigzag, and check motifs in bright pink, turquoise blue, cream and yellow on a black base—drew attention to her on stage. Her sleek high ponytail, pulled into a top bun with faded sides, and dangling pearl earrings completed the look. She stood poised, confident, carrying the weight of a nation on her shoulders. The ceremony took place in a competition hall with tiered tables marked with numbers. Uvere's words echoed beyond the hall. For Nigerians watching from home, her introduction was more than a pageant line. It was a statement of identity—a young woman standing in a foreign country, draped in Ankara, refusing to be overlooked. She now prepares for the main competition. Nigerians across social media have begun sharing clips of her introduction, with many calling her a worthy ambassador for the country on the global stage. Trump goes into silent mode after Americans rejected him at midterms. @boladay1 (NAIJA TV) - U.S. President Donald Trump has finally found a microphone he can't use. The US midterms delivered a blue tsunami on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and the man who tweets from morning till night reportedly went mute for hours as the results rolled in. Insiders say the White House East Room went quiet enough to hear a pin drop. A "media lid" was called—official code for "nobody should look for the president tonight." By Wednesday, the White House had found its voice again, just not the one you'd expect. Official accounts on Instagram and X posted a stern photo of Trump behind his desk in the Oval Office, captioned: "PSA: TRUMP IS STILL YOUR PRESIDENT." A reminder, apparently, that Democrats may have swept the House and Senate, but he still holds the office and the veto pen. Analysts read it as an attempt to project control after a drubbing. On Truth Social, he distanced himself from the losses entirely. "I wasn't on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!" He told reporters, "I don't view it as a hit on me. We've had the greatest two years in the history of the presidency." He said he'd try to work with the incoming Democratic majorities "unless they want to be destructive"—then reminded them, "but I have the power of the veto." And rather than a press conference, his first major appearance on Wednesday was at a construction site for his controversial new White House ballroom. Standing on a bare floor, he talked about the building, calling it the "safest place in Washington." The internet has responded with "lame duck" memes. America gave him a silent treatment of his own. #naijatv by @naijatvchannel
American rapper Doechii goes crazy over Nigerian song ‘Okunkun’ by Solana. @boladay1 (NAIJA TV) - The American rapper @Doechii went viral on Instagram Live this week after stumbling onto @Solana_tii's "Okunkun" song and vibing out so hard she had to ask her chat who made it. "That song is so fire!" she declared, singing along to the beat. She admitted she didn't know the artist's name at first, telling viewers she'd discovered the track through a radio show and immediately fell in love. "So fucking good." The song, produced alongside Killertunes, blends Yoruba storytelling with Afropop, electronic textures, and synth-pop sonics. "Okunkun" means "darkness" in Yoruba. #Doechii joins a growing list of international heavyweights backing #Solana's movement. @SZA, @Tyla, Little Simz, and Diplo have all previously co-signed her. The timing couldn't be better. Solana's debut EP, Girl From The West, drops November 13, 2026. Fans of both artists are already flooding social media asking for a remix. #naijatv by @naijatvchannel
DJ Cuppy shoots GQ Poland cover in Warsaw wearing Polish designers. @boladay1 (NAIJA TV) - Nigerian DJ and philanthropist Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, known as DJ @Cuppymusic, has been featured in the November 2026 special edition of #GQPoland: The Business Issue, photographed and filmed on the streets of Warsaw by Zuza Krajewska. She styled the shoot in pieces by local Polish designers and used the international feature to promote African culture. In the interview, Cuppy reflected on her multi-hyphenate career across music, education and philanthropy, and on what she wants the world to understand about Africa. Cuppy, who studied economics at King's College London and politics at Oxford, said the value of her education was not only in the content. "I may not directly use the economics I studied at King's College or the politics I studied at Oxford today, but I use the confidence my education gave me every day," she said. She told young girls that what they study matters less than never stopping learning. "Education shows me how big the world is and how differently people can live in it," she said. #Cuppy described Africa as the most beautiful part of the world, "not just visually or aesthetically, but also internally." "What I love most about Africa is its sense of community. Of course, not everything works perfectly there, but people manage to unite no matter the circumstances," she said. "When I say representing Africa, I don't just mean Nigeria, but all 54 countries on the continent. I believe being African is a superpower, and the world is just beginning to understand that Africa is the future." She cited African designers, chefs and musicians as evidence of a generation driving change. "The most important thing is that we remain ourselves. Africanness cannot be faked, because it is deeply rooted in us." Asked which Nigerian designers she admires, Cuppy named @LisaFolawiyo, @Hertunba, @BankeKuku, @TsemayeBinitie and @SisiJola.ng, saying designers are "pushing boundaries and truly transforming the fashion industry." Fave reveals how ‘Kante’ became global hit with Davido as song crosses 660 million streams. @boladay1 (NAIJA TV EXCLUSIVE) - The world knows a version of the “#Kante” story: @Davido, the Afrobeats superstar, plucks a track from a rising singer’s catalogue, adds his golden touch, and a global hit is born. But in a candid new interview, @Faveszn has revealed how close that song came to never happening. And in doing so, she has given one of the most honest accounts of how collaborations really work in the Nigerian music industry — not as seamless magic, but as persistence, timing, and the quiet refusal to doubt yourself. Speaking about how “Kante” came together, Fave recalled the moment she finished the early version of the track and felt something was missing — not creatively, but structurally. She had written the first verse, the pre-chorus, and the chorus. The second verse sat empty. “When I wrote Kante and recorded it, I had just the first verse and the chorus. The second verse was empty,” she explained. “So I sent Kante to about two or three artists before Davido. I actually made an effort, and I was like, ‘This song feels to me like I shouldn’t finish the song myself. It feels like it should be a collabo type of song.'” Continue reading at the link in our bio. #naijatv by @naijatvchannel
