Next year, on February 6th, 2027, Chalé University will be hosting the inaugural “Chalé Invitational”. The Chalé Invitational is a collegiate dance competition bringing together four African Student Association–affiliated dance teams from across New England for a celebration of competition, culture, creativity and community. Hosted in Worcester, MA, The Chalé Invitational sets out to build creative connections between Worcester high-school students in the diaspora and their role models currently pursuing higher education.

Over the next few weeks we will be scouting and reaching out to potential teams and organizations. There’s so much more information we’re excited to share, but in the meantime block this date off on your calendar and give us a follow to stay updated on all big announcements!

For now…
If you’re a cultural organization on a campus in the New England area, expect a new follow from your friends at Chalé University! We’re excited to partner with students within our communities in all aspects!

If you’re part of a BSU or ASA within Worcester Public Schools District, stay tuned as well…we have something for you too!

Peace & love,
Nana-Osei, CEO🧡 by @nana.oseib

A couple months ago, my mom told me about her first heartbreak. Of course, I’ve known her my whole life, but in that specific moment, it felt like I had met a new person. My whole life I’ve seen pure strength and power from this woman. I’ve seen her laugh millions of times and seen her cry more times than I’d prefer, but to witness this? It was different. She had a story, a past, and feelings that mirror my own, but why didn’t I understand that as much as I do now?

Reflecting on that moment made me realize how many of us (especially in first-gen families) have never really “talked” to our parents like that. Not because we don’t want to, or they don’t want to, but because it’s not what we’re used to. Vulnerability wasn’t always safe for them, and for some of us it still isn’t, so certain conversations just don’t happen.

The conversation can go deeper into traditional and cultural clashes, and everyone’s familial dynamic is different, but I’d like for us all to at least try to put a better foot forward and make progress. Why not take the opportunity to have conversations and close the door on generational curses and strongholds? Why can’t we be the generation that finally makes a difference?

My personal step forward is something I’ve been working on for a while now. It means a lot to me because I believe this can make a change in our communities and make real progress.

It warms my heart to finally announce the upcoming release of my card game, @finally.letstalk 🤎 “finally, let’s talk.” is a conversational card game aimed at bridging the emotional and generational gap between immigrant children and their parents. The game fosters deep, meaningful dialogue through a structured yet engaging format encouraging openness and understanding. There are so many details to come, but this caption is already insanely long, so be sure to follow for all updates regarding pre-order & the official release of the game.

this one is for my twin, mama g🤎

All glory to God for strength, mercy, & creativity. I am nothing without Him.

peace & love,
nana

POV: YOU CUT THE MUSIC DURING OZEBA😂

I think it’s clear to say that @heisrema gave us a classic with “OZEBA” because this crowd damn near pulled out pitchforks and torches when @djpatlax cut it🤣

(my guy in the grey at the end deserves a lifetime supply of indomie for jumping into legwork that quick)

Harvard….y’all know how to turn up.
If the nation’s scholars booked MR.WRLDWIDE, I guess it would a wise decision for you to do so as well?👀

WPI ASA: TOUCH OF AFRICA🌍

In February I had the pleasure of hosting @wpi_asa’s TOA ‘25! The legendary @djwonka spun on the 1s and 2s and carried us through the night as we saw so many beautiful examples of African excellence through the diaspora. At the end of the night, it was an honor to introduce the one and only @itsgabzy and it was truly history from there.
To the E-Board & organizers, thank you for your hard work and for letting MR.WRLDWIDE take your event to globe.

A special thank you to my brother @ebvisions_ (@ernieb_233) for this BANGER of a video — this man never disappoints…TRUST THE VISION!

Before there was monopoly in my house, there was Ludo. My grandma taught my siblings and I how to play when we were younger, and ever since then I fell in love with the game. She would destroy us all mercilessly, but the competitive nature of the game made you want to play more.

As I started to grow older, I realized we weren’t playing as much. Life had to taken up so much time that nobody could make space for the joys of Ludo. Sadly, we eventually lost the board and all the pieces that came with it.

Time passed and we forgot about the game entirely, but one day while cleaning, my grandma found the board AND the pieces…so you know what that meant…we had to run it back…and I lost…

BUT, the feeling of being able to play one of my childhood games again was amazing and it’s a feeling I can’t keep to myself

Through @chaleuniversity, I’ve designed this Ludo board for you & yours to experience the same joy & laughter that has filled many Ghanaian homes for centuries.

Create new memories with your friends & family this summer with the Chalé University Ludo Board Set🧡
