Save the date! I’m so excited to finally share the details of my upcoming solo exhibition, “Beyond Words.” Presented by @howellgallery, the show will be on view at BancFirst Tower Gallery in The Underground through January 29, 2027. Join me for the artist reception on opening night, November 5th, from 5 to 7 PM at 100 N. Broadway Ave. in downtown Oklahoma City. Valet parking is available at The Skirvin Hilton. Painting is my way of expressing my love for life, and I can’t wait to share this work with you. I hope to see you there! by @nancyjunkinart
🎥 🏆 I’m thrilled to announce that Palette of Emotions has won a Silver 2024 Telly Award for Craft-Videography & Cinematography! Filming Palette of Emotions was a heartfelt journey. There was art happening on both sides of the camera, and I felt incredibly fortunate to capture Nancy’s vibrant world. Watching her transform a blank canvas into a masterpiece was like witnessing magic. Nancy’s @nancyjunkinart art is more than just visual—it’s an emotional experience. Each brushstroke and hue tells a story, capturing the essence of her inner world. Her passion for using color to communicate deeply resonated with me, and I knew this project would be special. I first learned about Nancy and her incredible work through an article I wrote for @luxieremagazine featuring her pieces that are for sale at @howellgallery. I absolutely love writing for Luxiere Magazine because of the amazing artists that I get to interview and learn about. This experience reminded me of why I love what I do. There’s something profoundly moving about telling someone else’s story and sharing their passion with the world. It’s an honor to step into their world, even if just for a moment, and witness the dedication, emotion, and beauty they pour into their craft. Being able to capture and share that with others is what makes my work so fulfilling and inspiring every single day. 🙋🏽‍♀️Director & DP 💻Editor: @el_vampi 🔈Sound: @wam_selchel ——— #VideoProduction #WomenInFilm #OklahomaCity #FilmMaker #BehindTheCamera #TellyAwards #ArtInFilm #okcvideographer #CreativeStorytelling #Cinematography #Videography #TellyAwards by @nancyjunkinart

Roof repairs took over my studio this week, so this painting is getting its final layers at Howell Gallery before the BancFirst install tomorrow. Grateful for a gallery that lets me take over the floor on short notice! The show opens at 5 pm on Thursday, Nov. 5, in The Underground at BancFirst Tower, 100 N Broadway, OKC, OK. by @nancyjunkinart
🌟 OVAC MEMBER NEWS - Opening Reception for “Beyond Words” an Art Sale and Showcase Featuring Nancy Junkin The Howell Gallery (@howellgallery) is pleased to announce an off-site exhibition of paintings by Nancy Junkin (@nancyjunkinart), opening with an artist reception on Thursday, November 5th from 5 PM to 7 PM at BancFirst Tower Underground Gallery. Nancy Junkin is best known for figurative and abstract paintings defined by a looseness of expression, line, and color. Her abstracts begin with a movement of line, not a plan and she builds each surface in layers, with tools that range from Japanese brushes to kitchen utensils. "In my studio, anything that can make a mark is fair game," she says. Junkin came to painting midlife by way of a recurring dream in which she wandered her house and found an unfamiliar room. A dream interpretation book read it as the sign of “a quiet spirit waiting to be developed,” and she followed that dream: painting daily, taking classes and workshops, and studying with a range of artists. “Painting is my way of expressing a love for life that is even better than a dream,” she says. 📆 November 5 | 5PM-7PM 📍 BancFirst Tower Underground Gallery, OKC, OK Thanks to #OVACMember Howell Gallery for submitting! by @nancyjunkinart
