Do you any of you, when called to Jury Duty, have anticipation of, are they calling me in or not? I do. Well since Sunday, October 18, I have had to call each night. I play the game of waiting until late to call but that’s just a game. Either your group has been called or not. Waiting until later in the evening makes no difference! So for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and yes Thursday night, I called in anticipation and sure enough I was asked to appear today! 5 nights and today, along with 129 other souls we showed up! And then, it’s wait in line, then sit and wait. After one hour we were informed of jury rules! Then, we waited for the judge and the attorneys. They spoke to us. Told us about the case which was nauseating to say the least. Then, we waited again. Reviewed and completed documents and then waited! Well, glory be to God. We were told we did not have to come back on Monday as originally told as the opposing sides came to an agreement. Good they did. It was a man being accused of sexual assault on minors and probably not one person in our jury pool, if facts were true, would have let him walk. In my opinion! And in the meantime, they play movies for us and our wonderful neighbor who recently passed was in it as a Historian! Maybe you recognize him! Randy McFarland! We really miss him! Morale of this long story is show up for jury duty because chances are if you want to serve you can it if they don’t need you, you will be dismissed. I am opinionated when it comes to crimes so I am not a great potential juror! Happy Friday!! by @nancylisa2013

As we all know life is short but it becomes more real at our age when 3 people we know all pass away and there are 3 funerals within a week, starting tomorrow morning! And no I don’t have a wedding, but in a couple weeks there will be a birthday party! And there have been several birthday parties - 2 100 year olds and a 70 year old! Our sympathies go out to all families. We understand how difficult this time is for them. We send our love and prayers to them. The deceased ranged from 102 to 97 to 52. And they are all men. So very tragic and sad. One of these, I have known since I was 7, which is over 60 years, the others since we lived here, over 15 years. Todd and I are sad for the families and pray they get strength to carry forward with the memories of all of these people foremost in their minds. May God rest their souls in peace and if you are so inclined please pray for them. Amen 🙏 by @nancylisa2013
