Very few things feel as surreal and dreamlike as car spotting on PCH during Car Week. All of these shots were taken throughout the course of one singular morning. Unreal. by @nathanlovesbacon

I had always assumed that I would never see a Wiesmann unless I went to Europe; thankfully, I was wrong. So surreal to see one of these in the States. @marv_o_lous by @nathanlovesbacon

As far as blue carbon Paganis go, of which there are quite a few, this might be my favorite application of it — Zonda MD. It’s not doing too much, it’s just right. One of my personal favorite Zondas. by @nathanlovesbacon

Car Week always seems to bring out certain cars that are rarely, if ever, seen. For instance, this beautiful two-tone red Veyron 16.4, a car that continues to age like wine. Is this peak Veyron? by @nathanlovesbacon

Another Car Week is in the books, and it might have been one of the very best. In terms of just the sheer turnout of special cars, this ranks near the top of the 16 Car Weeks that I’ve attended.

I can’t help but worry about the state of Car Week every single year, and this year felt perhaps the most worrisome. As a direct consequence of social media, more and more people seem to flock to Monterey every year, which can be seen as a good or a bad thing, or both. Regardless of your perspective on the matter, I can speak for myself when I say that no amount of people could ever stop me from having an incredible time here.

The cars are only part of the equation. Most of the appeal of Car Week directly involves the people who are a part of it. My favorite part of the week involves meeting and making new friends, and being with the friends that I’ve made over the years. The cars are almost secondary.

Thank you so much to everyone who made this week so incredible for me. Car Week Forever. by @nathanlovesbacon

Day 1 of my Car Week is over, and it’s hard to argue against this being the highlight. @rmsothebys McLaren F1 GTR, Chassis 10R. One of the most iconic liveries on one of the most iconic race cars of all time, and it’s just sitting in a hotel lobby. So surreal. by @nathanlovesbacon

Car Week is just less than a week away. Who’s going? by @nathanlovesbacon

I can’t think of another car, aside from maybe the Countach, whose design is more indebted to its era than the F40, and I mean that in the best way possible. With the endless slats and NACA ducts, it’s quintessentially late ‘80s, yet still somehow timeless. by @nathanlovesbacon

Talk about a car that’s aged gracefully. Very few cars out there with more iconic and instantly recognizable designs than the Enzo. @cesario.collection by @nathanlovesbacon

Better late than never. I have to commend @cprdvs and @chri.s for putting on one of the best car shows I’ve ever attended. Trust in Treasure State. by @nathanlovesbacon

There are few cars that trigger the same kind of nostalgia that a Spyker does for me, particularly the LM85 Laviolette. Only 15 ever made, only ever offered in this livery and with the crazy roof scoop. Just another insane addition @fastrrr_llc by @nathanlovesbacon

There are certain “holy grail” cars that will make you drop everything just to see them. This is one of those cars for me - 1 of 1 Monterey Blue Murcielago SV. Monterey Blue is my favorite paint ever offered on any car, and the Murci SV is one of my favorite cars of all time. Just unbelievable. @whitessejr
