A federal court has struck down part of the H.R.1 Medicaid rule that would have forced people with serious behavioral health needs to prove their condition kept them from meeting new work requirements.

Along with our partners, we challenged that provision in an amicus brief last month. The court agreed that CMS overstepped its authority.

CCBHCs are responsible for delivering comprehensive, high-quality care across some of the most complex populations in behavioral health. But doing so effectively requires more than just meeting reporting requirements.
