Nazmin’s live painting at World Art Dubai ❤️The most common question she received was, “Did you paint it all by yourself?” This opportunity might have proven her talent.. i believe her art speaks louder than her words✨

Huge thanks to @firstwishartgallery for not only letting her display her work but also for supporting her live painting and providing continuous support. We were so happy to see her painting live in front of the crowd and their overwhelming responses. ..She loves live painting and always puts her unique style and full concentration into every detail. …This painting was completed in just 3-4 hours, while she typically takes at least a week for her paintings. Perhaps her patience and desire for perfection explain her focus on every single stroke. Alhamdulillah for everything ❤️

Nazmin is a 12 year old calligraphy artist from Ajman, and she recently did a live portrait of Sheikh Zayed at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

From starting to draw on the walls using crayons when she was five years old, to now creating art in front of live audiences, she has grown as an artist and I interviewed her to cover her artistic journey for Gulf News.

We’re happy to welcome the wonderful participating artists of The Language of the Heart✨

Every artist brings a story, an emotion, and a piece of themselves into the space. That is what makes this exhibition so special to us.

The Language of the Heart is about the things we sometimes struggle to put into words, feelings, memories, connections, and experiences that find their way onto the canvas instead.

📅 3rd October 2026 | 4:00 PM
📍 Novotel, Gold District, Dubai

We’re truly looking forward to celebrating each artist, their journey, and the beautiful stories they have chosen to share with us🤍

Last week, the Fund brought conservation education to life at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, bringing together the different voices and generations that make our work unique.

This time, young people were not simply part of the audience. They were the ones we came to listen to.

Two recipients of our Youth Grant for Nature took the spotlight, each using their own talent to tell a story about nature.

Nazmin Rasheed created a live artwork honouring the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, whose respect for nature helped shape the conservation values the nation carries forward today.

On stage, the world’s youngest author, Saeed AlMheiri, shared his journey as a writer and spoke about the storybook he created following his memorable encounter with a dugong. He then turned storytelling into a hands-on experience, inviting children to colour and learn about some of his favourite species.

Through Tales of Conservation, we saw what can happen when we go beyond inspiring young people and give them the platform to inspire others.

When Nazmin first heard that she had the opportunity to do a live painting at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, the first thing she said to me was, “ I want to try calligraphy… I want to make it a tribute to the UAE”🇦🇪

She went through a few artworks for inspiration and had so many ideas in her head😇 But as school started and honestly, she didn’t really get the time to practise it completely ,not even once!

So on the day, she just went for it🤍

And Alhamdulillah… she did an amazing job❤️ Watching her stand there, completely focused, and then seeing her proudly stand beside her finished artwork with the UAE flag… that was a moment we’ll never forget🇦🇪

As a parent, moments like this makes our heart so full.. It’s not about everything being perfectly planned.. it’s about seeing your child believe in her idea, take that challenge, and give it her heart❤️

A very special thanks to the for @speciesconservationfund believing in Nazmin and giving her this beautiful opportunity. Your trust, encouragement and support mean more to us than words can say. 🤍🤍

Alhamdulillah for opportunities like this…❤️🇦🇪

Al-Masjid an-Nabawi 🌙

A sacred Masjid in Madinah and one of the holiest places in Islam. 🤍 It was established by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and holds immense spiritual significance for Muslims..It is also the resting place of the Prophet ﷺ. Millions visit every year, and a prayer in the Masjid is rewarded more than a prayer in an ordinary masjid.

A small try at Arabic calligraphy in Nazmin’s own style, along with her interpretation of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. 🤍
