POSTS STORIES REELS

Oh my goodness! We have spent years referencing this list and supporting those on it. This is an honor and we've only just begun. Haven't been in yet? We'd love to host you. Go ahead and make a reservation through our website. Link is in the bio. See you soon! by @nectariswine

i’m pretty ecstatic to announce that i’ll be collaborating with @nectariswine to bring you a beautiful five course tapa style menu with mostly three dishes per course @mestizo.pdx for two weekends in a row (march 29-30, april 5-6). Beverly will be pairing each course with beautiful wines or non alcoholic drinks.

you can reserve via link in bio and check out the menu there! menu is inspired by nicaraguan and spanish cuisines.

of course, i had to bring a skewer for one of the dishes. every culture has some form of skewer, which is a beautiful way to connect people with something they’re familiar with.

although i currently do not have a picture of the skewer we’re cooking up for the pop up. i can tell you they are muronos, which are marinated overnight before they’re grilled to order. the style of skewer we chose are influenced by the moors when they ruled spain from 8th to 15th century. they didn’t eat pork at the time, so originally they were made with lamb. we will be doing ours with a mix of @otatofu tofu and soy curls.

i personally just love skewers. i can eat them everyday of the week. 🤣 so i try to squeeze them in a lot of the menus.

you can scroll through to check out the different variations of skewers i’ve done in the past with seasonal ingredients. fun fact: the first photo is from the first pop up collaboration i had with @nectariswine last year. it was served with an eggplant purée and a jimmy nardello almogrote sauce.

hope to see you at the pop up. ✌️

Cracking some Cornas tonight! And knowing me, I'll probably pop some Champagne too. 🍾 Come hang out for one of our last 2 weekends at 1403 Belmont. Reservation Link in bio. by @nectariswine

Thank you. Truly. Every 🍷 poured, every conversation, every laugh, and late night linger helped create the sweet, singular vibe that has defined Nectaris from day one.

As the year draws to a close we have a bit of news to share. Our neighbor and friend, @chefaaronadams, has seen remarkable success with @astera_pdx. We couldn't be happier for him - and with that success comes the need for Astera to expand. Nectaris will be making way. Our last day of service will be this coming Jazz Sunday, the 28th.

Between now and then, we're going to keep things celebratory 🍾 & a little spontaneous.Stop by for the surprise bubbles & special cellar bottles as we toast 🥂 what's been & what's ahead. This Saturday at 12 Noon I'll be at the bar selling bottles at 20% off - a perfect moment to stock up and say hello.

And this is very much not the end.

Nectaris is officially on the hunt for a new home. If you know of a space—or have a lead—please DM me on social or email beverly@nectaris.wine. In the meantime, keep an eye out for Nectaris collaborations, pop-ups, and takeovers around town, with a possible wine club quietly (and excitingly) in the works.

If you have a gift card, now is the time to raid our shelves this Saturday for 20% off, or hold onto it to use at a future event or toward the upcoming wine club.

Most of all, thank you—for showing up, for supporting small and soulful, and for helping make Nectaris what it is. This chapter is closing, but the story is far from over.

With gratitude,

Beverly McKenzie

This Sunday, at the coziest wine bar in SE Portland! 6 PM to 8 PM - reservations recommended, limited tables available by @nectariswine

Gang, I am excited to share that this Saturday @nectariswine will be the location for @gymspaceequity's After Party following their Holiday party hosted @ironsidetraining. You see, 7 years before @chefaaronadams inspired me to build my full circle passion project of Nectaris, he introduced me to @coach_patrickthomas and the world of powerlifting. I learned that there can be a holistic approach to training (and life) that takes into consideration not just the numeric goals one may want to 'hit', but more importantly additionally looks at balance, nutrition, stressors, & small individual wins. All bodies benefit from strength training yet the accessibility to regular training can be difficult. @gymspaceequity blossomed out of @ironsidetraining and they "aim to improve diversity & increase a sense of belonging in training communities, making movement a more accessible & fulfilling pursuit for all. They believe that the efforts emphasized (while training) will help elicit broader societal change.

So, this Saturday from 8-10 we will not only feature a few drink specials (like the zero proof Recovery Toddy) where 100% of proceeds will go to GSPE, but we will also have some groovy vibes, a hearty limited snack menu, & great company. An Additional % of proceeds from the event will go straight to GSPE as well. Come join us!

I had the honor of visiting Weingut Kopp this past June and it was at that time my mind was opened to appellations in Germany beyond those that specialize in Riesling and other aromatic whites. The future of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir is budding in Baden. The high mountain valley where Kopp is situated is referred to as the 'Burgundian Gap', a sweet spot nestled between the Black Forest & the Vosges Mountains. We will be hosting Johannes Kopp tonight @nectariswine from 5-7. There will be flights, glasses, bottles with no corkage and bottles to go. Come get cozy on this drizzly day and discover a whole new way to see Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. by @nectariswine

ANNOUNCING: The Part 2 to our @ironsidetraining holiday party!

We are SO stoked to be collaborating with @nectaris.wine for an afterparty addition to our holiday party fundraiser on Sat, Dec 13th!

Beverly is the owner of this NEW vegan wine bar located on SE Belmont, and she’s also been a resident Ironside member since 2017 herself!

We LOVE connecting with people in our community, so this felt like the perfect opportunity.

You can join us first at @ironsidetraining from 6-8 PM for:
- food by @mistaconespdx , @lacasademamapdx
- DRINKS by @ccslaughterspdx
- a small business market w/ local vendors
- DJ by @fatherfannie
- Drag performances by @crybabyeris @boujeecherry
- open mic + karaoke,

Then, walk on over to @nectaris.wine from 8-10 for an afterparty! Bev will be serving up drink specials, snacks, puzzles + games, and we’ll have a SPECIAL raffle with some exclusive prizes, too.

All proceeds from both events will benefit Gym Space Equity’s programming - going into 2026.

Our mission is to “lower barriers to access & expand representation for BIPOC communities in fitness, increasing joy throughout movement.”
We have grown SO much this year and we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store!

Come cute and have fun - in your non-gym clothes!
