HELLO! 🪡✨

I am Alex, your bridal seamstress! It’s been a while since I showed up in here and wanted to introduce myself!!

My true passion for making clothes sparked when I studied pattern making in Florence, Italy. I realized that my place in the fashion world was not to think of beautiful ideas but to execute them flawlessly. I love being an extremely technical seamstress and that passion led me to the world of bridal alterations.
I’ve been putting my head down working on building NeedlexWand to be the perfect bridal alterations experience for you. I like to build strong relationships with my clients and get to know them, make the alterations process a breeze and most importantly: HAVE FUN.

Here are some fun facts about me:

I am a huge helicopter dog mom.

I am an avid traveler - if I’m not working, I’m in a random place in the world drinking coffee with my boyfriend!

My guilty pleasure is watching recipe videos of things I will never make!

I am a huge fabric nerd so don’t get me started…. or do at your own peril!

I hope we can work together and that you allow me to be part of this beautiful bridal journey you are on. ✨ by @needlexwand

Thank you, Lindsey, for bringing such amazing energy into the studio! We were so honored to be part of your bridal journey and help bring your visions to life.

We loved taking your tulle dream dress and tailoring it to fit perfectly, but getting to recreate your mother’s rehearsal dinner look with that iconic polka dot mini was pure magic.

Seeing our brides sparkling with joy and receiving these sweet, giddy messages is exactly why we love what we do!

Some dresses are perfect as is. Some are made perfect for you. ✨

We had the honor of creating fully custom lace sleeves for Louise, giving her gown the romantic, timeless details she envisioned.

Bridal alterations aren’t just about fit—they’re about bringing your vision to life.

Let’s start the week on a celebratory note with a big transformation and a custom double bow!!

Kate’s gown came in a little too big and although there’s people that say that something so big is not alterable, we disagree. It is all a matter of find the right seamstress with the proper pattern making background and a lot of patience!!!

Thank you Kate for being a saint and coming to all of your progress fittings with the best attitude!

For this gown we completely the following alterations:
-complete bodice and skirt take in (6in total)
-bust curve reduction
-torso shortening
-hemmed all layers
-ballroom bustle
-custom made detachable double bow

Now, do you believe in magic?🪄✨ by @needlexwand

This. This picture, these smiles, this giddiness. ✨

I’ve looked at this photo so many times over the past few weeks. I love how the talented @itslanaslens captured the true essence of what we do at Needle & Wand. 🪡

We are more than bridal seamstresses; we are your secret keepers, your garment fairies, and your accomplices through this crazy, beautiful journey. We are so incredibly humbled that our brides trust us not just with their gowns, but with their hearts. What a beautiful job we have. 🤍 by @needlexwand

Bridal alterations are never one-size-fits-all. Sometimes, the process requires getting creative, asymmetrical work, and most importantly time.
Why a 12-week window? Because you are a human, not a mannequin. Stress can bloat you, thin you out, or inflame your muscles. Your “unique silhouette” is a moving target that can change from one week to the next.

Take our sweet bride Annika. Just two weeks before the big day, she had a significant weight fluctuation. The gown she’d been fitting into perfectly was suddenly too big.
Because we build flexibility into our schedule, we didn’t panic. We jumped back in just one week before her wedding to re-sculpt the fit, ensuring she felt secure and beautiful for her “prairie fairy tale” moment. ✨
We don’t need 12 weeks to do the sewing, we need them to ensure the gown meets you exactly where you are on your wedding day. We’re here to support your body, however it shows up!✨💗 by @needlexwand

Thank you, Annika, for bringing such amazing energy into the studio!
We were so honored to be part of your bridal journey and help bring this vision to life.
Your wedding looks like an absolute dream, the perfect mix of whimsy and effortless. (Obviously no one would ever imagine we emergency-altered your gown a week before the wedding!) 😉

“Unalterable” is just a challenge.

When we hear it can’t be done, we say: Why not?

Sophia’s gown required a major bust curve reconstruction, and we were here for the challenge. This transformation is proof that a gown custom-fitted to your unique silhouette creates a total ripple effect amplifying every other detail of the fit.

The Needle & Wand approach: We don’t just “dart and tuck.” We solve the problem at the core by applying flat pattern theory to the original architecture of the gown. Correcting the pattern itself is the only way to achieve a truly bespoke fit.

Thank you, Sophia, for trusting us with your gown!

Kristine served in this beautiful gown!!
She asked us to make: 1. Her plain crepe gown into a vine embroidered hem with corded alençon and 3d flowers 2. Her full length trumpet gown into a mini with a custom oversized bow and being the adrenaline junkies that we are we were so excited to get to work!! 😬🤗🥳

We are jumping up and down and doing a happy dance in the studio over these pictures! 💫 by @needlexwand
