Cover design • Lata Mangeshkar: A Life in Music by Yatindra Mishra and Translated by Ira Pande. Here is the cover for you, hope you like. Here’s a little more about the book: An ode to the majestic life of the late Lata Mangeshkar, Lata: A Life in Music celebrates art in its totality and tells the life story of one of India’s most loved vocal artists. The result of Yatindra Mishra’s decade-long dialogue with the great singer, it also explores the lesser-known aspects of the great artist, introducing the readers to Lata Mangeshkar as an intellectualand cultural exponent and providing a rare glimpse into the person behind the revered enigma. Neeraj Nath, Cover design 2023, One of my favourite!✨✨✨ Enjoy this book by ordering it online or from your nearest bookshop! Cover design • Samsara by Saksham Garg. Here is the cover for you, hope you like. The more I worked on this cover, the better it got—which is not always the case with book covers. Layered with secret messages, embellished with gold foil, embossing, UV and matte paper, the cover of SAMSARA: ENTER THE VALLEY OF THE GODS, is one of the fresh and finest I’ve worked on. Months of brainstorming, inputs from everyone at @penguinindia and a stunning illustration from the unequalled @artofmihir went into its making. @sakshamgarg94 had requested for a fresh-look cover that conveyed both mythology and fantasy, and I’m so proud of the outcome. Here’s a little more about the book: Samsara follows the lives of 10 modern-day individuals (atheists, believers, rich, poor) as they are kidnapped and transported to a hidden valley in the Himalayas where reside Vedic gods and mythical beasts. But what they find there even the best of them struggle to brave. Cover design • Restless Lives• by Harish Bhat Here’s a little more about the book: Restless Lives offers an oasis of quiet contemplation. In this beautiful poetry collection, author Harish Bhat reflects on various aspects that make up daily life. At times pleasing, at others disturbing, the lines within these pages promise to give pause, inspire and stir emotion. Enjoy this book by ordering it online and from your nearest bookshop! Behind the cover of "Zubeen Garg", the story of a voice that carried the soul of an entire people. Illustrated by Mihir Joglekar (@artofmihir) and art directed and designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath2006), the cover takes its cues from Assam's rich handloom tradition. Woven motifs and a subtle textile texture give it the tactile feel of Assamese fabric, while a printmaking-inspired portrait, rendered in a restrained palette, keeps the focus on Zubeen's emotion, presence and enduring legacy. Out now. by @neerajnath2006
Bringing a legend to life - one layer at a time. It had been a while since I explored this art style for a book cover, and returning to it felt like rediscovering an old rhythm. This is the third time I’ve had the chance to visually interpret the rich worlds Anand Neelakantan creates so effortlessly with words. From understanding the brief to detailed conversations with the art director, and thoughtful, constructive feedback from the editor, the cover came together- step by step. Sharing the cover of Solo from our design archive — designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath2006), featuring an illustration by the author himself, Indrajeet More (@my_blue_backpack). For Neeraj, designing this cover felt like taking the same journey as the author. He wanted the design to capture the essence of backpacking across India — raw, restless, and full of discovery — where the typography moves like a traveler: bold, yet never standing still. The colours remain minimal, giving space for the journey to breathe. Neeraj’s approach was to let the author’s artwork take center stage, balancing it with type so that both illustration and design could travel together in harmony. by @neerajnath2006
Presenting the cover of “Happiness Happens: Happiness for Those Who Have Everything Else”, designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath2006) with artwork by Ijaz Mohammed (@ijaz.mohmd). The bold, minimal typography paired with Ijaz’s evocative art reflects the book’s spirit; clarity, purpose, and the quiet transformation that comes from living with compassion. The design echoes Robin Singh’s (@locaterobin) journey from hacker to founder of Peepal Farm, where simplicity and kindness redefine what it means to live well. At its heart, the book isn’t about chasing happiness, it’s about discovering purpose. And when life is rooted in compassion, happiness follows. by @neerajnath2006
Presenting the cover of “Babur: The Quest for Hindustan” by Aabhas Maldahiyar (@aabhasmaldahiyar). Designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath2006), the cover draws on the grandeur and intricacy of the Mughal era. The ornamental floral borders echo Persian and Timurid motifs, framing the title like a royal manuscript. Against the deep black backdrop, the bold red typography of “Babur” stands out like an imperial seal. It’s a design where history, art, and storytelling come together, pulling you straight into Babur’s world of battles, poetry, and empire. by @neerajnath2006
Returning to the vivid design of "The Grammar of My Body"—a cover that renders the human form as a mosaic of colour and feeling, capturing ideas of freedom, vulnerability, and strength. Designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath0115), the artwork uses bright block colours and cutout shapes to echo the fragmented yet powerful experience of inhabiting one’s body, as explored in the memoir. A bold serif font cuts across the cover diagonally, anchoring the layered design with clarity and force. by @neerajnath2006
Cover design: Money, Myths and Mantras by Devina Mehra This bold and clean cover plays with contrast and hierarchy to elevate the reading experience even before the first page. The sharp serif typography lends the title gravitas, while the interplay of purple and yellow brings attention to the book’s layered themes—wealth, misconceptions, and wisdom. At the heart of the title sits a custom currency symbol motif ($⇌₹), subtly embossed and highlighted in Spot UV, representing the global and local dynamics of money. The subtitle, The Ultimate Investment Guide, sits in radiant yellow, echoing financial optimism—visually lifted with embossing and gloss to catch the light just right. The matte lamination across the rest of the jacket provides a sophisticated, tactile finish that contrasts beautifully with the glossy elements. Presenting the cover of "Gandhi: The End of Non-violence", designed by Neeraj Nath (@neerajnath0115). The design captures the essence of history, ideology, and conflict. A striking black-and-white image of Gandhi creates a powerful visual contrast with the bold yellow serif title, making GANDHI the unmistakable focal point. The delicate, italicized ‘The End of’ introduces a sense of tension, while ‘Non-violence’, set in a classic serif, lends the composition solemnity and depth. Minimal yet intense, the typography and imagery come together to reflect the book’s thought-provoking theme. In this compelling work, Manash Firaq Bhattacharjee (@dilaurdilli) offers a narrative and intellectual history of one of India’s defining moments—Gandhi’s epic non-violent resistance to the mass violence of Partition (1946–1947). #coverdesign #bookdesign #typographymatters #graphicdesign #nonfictionbooks #designınspiration #gandhi #penguinbooks #bookstagrammers #historybooks by @neerajnath2006
✨ Cover design: India Before the Ambanis by Lakshmi Subramanian. This cover masterfully blends historical imagery with bold typography to reflect the rich legacy of Indian business. The contrast between the serif and sans-serif fonts adds a sense of tradition meeting modernity, while the golden duotone archival photograph on the spine and back cover reinforces the book’s deep historical roots. The white background with a strong title treatment ensures maximum impact and readability, making it an elegant yet powerful design. Printed on premium matte lamination, the cover features striking Spot UV detailing on the title and the entire back cover image, along with an embossed title for a refined, tactile experience that exudes sophistication and elegance. 📖 A must-read for those interested in India's economic history!
