POSTS STORIES REELS
Resilience doesn't happen in isolation. In our conversation with Neil Shah, founder of @thestressmanagementsociety, we explore the relationship between community and resilience – and how our ability to cope can be strengthened by our connection to others. As our communities and workplaces become more fragmented, and our resilience is put to the test, how do we cope when we start to feel alone? Our report, The Leadership Loneliness Paradox, looks at the challenges of loneliness in leadership and why connection matters. 🔗 Head to the link in our bio to read the report and watch the full podcast. What helps you stay connected when the pressure is on? Share your thoughts in the comments. #Leadership #Resilience #WorkplaceWellbeing #Loneliness by @neil.karma
📱 Are we becoming slaves to our technology? Emails, Teams messages, notifications... sometimes it feels like we're always switched on. @neil.karma, founder of @thestressmanagementsociety, asks whether constant connection is always a good thing - especially when it makes switching off feel harder than ever. Technology itself isn't the problem. It's how much control we give it. When was the last time you truly switched off? Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is simply listen. When someone we care about tells us they're struggling, our first instinct is often to fix it, to find a silver lining, or to say "I know how you feel." It comes from love. But what most of us really need in those moments is to feel heard. To have someone stay with us, without judgement, and let us be exactly where we are. The Stress Management Society was founded on that very feeling. Our founder, Neil, once knew what it was like to have nowhere safe to turn. Everything we do today grew from the belief that no one should feel that way. This World Mental Health Day, the theme is "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change." Real change can start with something as small as putting your phone down, turning towards someone, and saying, "Thank you for telling me." You don't need all the answers. Often, being heard is the help. 💜 Save this for the next time someone needs you, and share it with the person who's always there for everyone else. They deserve to be heard too. If you're finding things hard right now, you're not alone, and support is available: Samaritans: call 116 123 (free, confidential, 24/7) Shout: text SHOUT to 85258 (free, 24/7) Mind: 0300 102 1234 (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm) CALM: 0800 58 58 58 (5pm–midnight daily) Papyrus HOPELINEUK (under 35s): 0300 102 2470 If you're in immediate danger, call 999. #WorldMentalHealthDay #WMHD2026 #BeingHeard #MentalHealthMatters #StressManagement #Listening #YouAreNotAlone by @neil.karma

Four years ago, I met my Ruth, My love, my home, my heart, my truth. And somehow, since that fateful day, Life’s danced in quite a different way. We’ve laughed till neither one could speak, Held each other when things felt bleak, Dreamed big dreams and made them real, Built a love I’m lucky to feel. From cacao cups to campervan schemes, Festivals, retreats and ridiculous dreams, From quiet moments, hand in hand, To plotting adventures across the land. We’ve grown, we’ve changed, we’ve lost, we’ve found, We’ve held each other safe and sound. Through every high, through every test, I still choose you. You’re still my best. My partner in mischief, magic and life, My beautiful Ruth, my love, my light. Four years since the universe said, “You two…” And I’m still completely in love with you. Here’s to love, to laughter, to all still to come, To creating our weird and wonderful mobile home. To growing old disgracefully, wild and free… And to you still putting up with me. ❤️ Happy four years since we found each other, my love. I’d find you again in every lifetime. by @neil.karma
