A tablescape that continues to visit me…a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and patterns. When I first walked into this stunning dining room with the custom chandelier created by @danmazzarini and @stacyrauen of @stay_and_gather, I knew immediately the direction I wanted this table to go for the 2026 @rumsoneducationfoundation Kitchen Tour. Working together with florist @theflowercartgirl and @nestforeveryone, we brought this magical room to another level.

Inspired by the circular shapes of the chandelier, I wanted to feature these ceramic salad plates by renowned ceramist @newcombpottery Newcomb created specially for designer Patrick Mele, which I places on ceramic plates by @hawkinsnewyork. These block pront linens by @soiltostudio tied everything together, and softened the harder edges and angles of the shapes within the room.

The overall table design is styled to highlight artisanal items in a home of an art philanthropist - from the hand thrown and painted ceramic pieces, to the handblown glassware, to the block print linens, to the individual painted place cards

All products sourced and available at local retail shop Nest: table linens, dinner plates, vintage candle stick holders and glassware. Placecards were handpainted by me. by @newcombpottery

At Hey Clay, members, students and staff get together about once a month to hang and connect with each other. At our social yesterday, we invited Nic Newcomb @newcombpottery to talk to our community about “How to Sell”. Nic comes with years of experience via retail and wholesale channels and spoke to our community about the various considerations around selling ceramics pieces. We covered topics like the different sales channels and pros and cons for each, how to present, choosing the right inventory, how to price, how to interact with buyers and much more.

This event was free for our community and some also brought their friends! Thanks to Nic for giving his time and for all who attended and gave it your attention and asked so many good questions that we went over by an hour 😅

Art meets the table. @artful_living_by_betsy was honored to design this tablescape for 10 at The Rumson Kitchen Tour 2026 for a stunning waterfront property on Blackpoint Horseshoe, highlighting a dinning room with custom chandelier, all by interior designer @danmazzarini. Inspired by the light and art filled home, every detail celebrates true craftsmanship. From the custom @NicNewcomb ceramic salad plates created for @PatrickMele, to the stunning florals by @TheFlowerCartGirl in artisanal vessels, to the mixed and matched block print linens by @soiltostudio. Curated essentials were individually sourced from @Nest:
- @soiltostudio block print table linens
- @hawkinsnewyork classic dinner plates
- vintage brass candlestick holders
- hand blown glassware

Finished with bespoke place cards also hand painted by @artful_living_by_betsy. Delicious catering provided by @jrsdelivers. Take a seat and appreciate the art of the gather.
