Dia De Los Muertos En New Labor New Brunswick ! by @newlabornj

Come join us in New Brunswick, NJ for a 2-day NE regional mini conference from Monday evening to Tuesday afternoon, November 16th and 17th. The election will be over, and the work of labor education continues.

We will start the event on Monday evening with an informal gathering to build solidarity. The second day will begin with a workshop and panel discussion on the Principles and Practice of Solidarity Curriculum in Labor Education. Leaders from New Labor, Germania Hernandez and Reynalda Cruz will present along with Kris Raab of Labor Institute, and Stephanie Luce of CUNY/SLU. We will be covering current work in civil rights curricula across the labor movement, from anti-authoritarianism to immigration activism and beyond.

The second session will address mental health in our work, with Kayleigh Truman of IATSE & Rutgers LEARN and MaryGrace DiMaria of CIWO. Anneta Argyres and Clare Hammonds of UMass will close out the day with a Popular Education skills and practice workshop.

The entire event will be offered with Spanish/English interpretation.

O povo unido jamais será vencido.

For weeks, Newark and surrounding areas have been targeted by ICE detention enforcement. Hard working families are suddenly getting their wellbeing and stability pulled right under them.

Weekends are not the same in our community. Fewer people walk, fewer people shop, fewer people feel safe.

We said it one and said it twice we will not put up with ICE.

Join us on November 7th and walk in community as we march for justice in the Ironbound.

FREE THEM ALL!! by @newlabornj
