Finally made it to my first Sneaker Con! I always love when work can involve different passions of mine, and as a sneakerhead, I couldn’t have been more excited to cover the event in DC on behalf of @sneakertheory360 With over 250 vendors and thousands of patrons filling the floor, Sneaker Con DC really showed how special the sneaker community is. From the culture to the stories shared, I had an amazing experience. The tour keeps moving, with the next Sneaker Con heading to Fort Lauderdale on January 9th.

Driven by Dreams: Her Passion in Action ✨

After attending the CBS Ambassador Program this past Spring, Nyla Cherry has been on the go! She secured an internship with Pepco Holdings Incorporated and attended the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) where she was able to spread her wings and build her skillsets. Nyla is a great example of what it means to be a well-rounded student-athlete!

wow, my first NABJ!!🥹🥹

i cant even begin to quantify this trip with words, it was life changing to say the least. i felt so blessed to be in the presence of the epitome of Black excellence for five days straight. i learned, i pushed myself, and i made sure to have fun through it all. this atmosphere helped me to envision my dreams of becoming a sports broadcaster in ways that i had never done before. i was surrounded by people who wasted no time to offer me advice. their words of encouragement inspired me to believe in myself even more than i had when i first boarded my plane.

a special thank you to miss make it happen for motivating me to take a chance on myself and attend this convention (and paying for it 🤣), i love u mother girl❤️
